There's 2 personas to the Diamond one - first is Daimond Dave - live before your naked steaming eyes....full tilt JD fuelled and no holds Bar BQ!! The other is just Dave - no one man band - highly intgelligent, erudite, articulate, artistic, well read and an adressing conversationalist - This man has 'wherewithall' and drop dead gorgeous (yes even now at 56!!) - thinking woman's crumpet - with a large portion of ....yes please!!

I went to both concerts in melb...I payed 35 dollars each ticket and back then I thought it was expensive lol the boxing rin ..the surboard over the crowd ..steve vai with the heart shaped guitar ..the band playin Wake up little suzzie

AMEN! Thank god I skipped school the next day after seeing DLR's concert in 88'. I was only 14 years old (had to lie to security to get in those days!) and was blown away by the Diamond one! Would have been better if it was with Van Halen but at least it was a taste of what the rest of you VH fans experienced! We VH fans down under envy the VH fans in the US, your so lucky!!

Your right! We Aussie Van Halen fans only know one Van Halen & thats the Roth/Van Halen, the original & best! Sammy Hagar isn't liked to much here. When he toured here in 98' I went to his show in Melbourne and it turned nasty! When Sam bad mouthed Van Halen durning his show the crowd turn on him! Bottles thrown, verbal abuse & fights broke out with security! Bad mouth Van Halen at your own peril. We're loyal & passionate, if you disrespect VH we'll let you know! Sam hasn't been back since...

@vampyros1 the studio audience for this daily midday show was mainly purple rinse and unemployed folk looking to fill in their day. I happened to have tickets to Dave's Skyscraper concert and I had just turned 15 and I was having a day off sick from school and happened to see this show and I'll never forget it. At that point in time I was living off everything Van Halen I could find. Dave delivered.
