Meh, people are allowed to eat whale around the world, some groups of people actually survive on it. My issue with people eating whale meat purely for the novelty is that whale meat has redonkulous levels of mercury. Whale meat in Japanese stores in particular tend to have higher than average levels since the industry isn't highly regulated.
That being said, I would just like to say that amongst all the new meats/fish I ate in Japan.......... BAZASHI WAS THE MOST FRICKING DELICIOUS!

Obviously, if it's endangered, I'm against eating it. Lol, but cat, dog,horse, I'd try those. I'm against factory farming, that's the only reason I try to get more organic meat or go vegetarian. Not eating the whale wouldn't have changed the fact that it was dead in the first place. If anything, in my opinion, you made it's death worth something; rather than being killed for no reason.
I don't support whaling, its banned for good reason, namely there's not enough whales in the sea to feed hungry but otherwise well fed humans, hell, even fish stocks are crashing, but I don't think you can burn in hell over trying it once. Just don't get hooked on Snorky or anything. :P

it's ok, you were probably just curious what it tasted like. it's no different from when i had smoked alligator on my trip in Florida, i tasted pretty good actually, bit i feel a tad guilty while eating it.

Obviously, if it's endangered, I'm against eating it. Lol, but cat, dog,horse, I'd try those. I'm against factory farming, that's the only reason I try to get more organic meat or go vegetarian. Other then that, animals are animals. Unless endangered(Or have more human qualities, Like Elephants or chimpanzees both realize much more what goes on.) for the most part I think it's fine.

Personally I don't see the problem with eating whale/dolphin, it's the same as any other animal and unless you take to eating it weekly it's not as if you're causing them to die, after all when the meat is sitting in the fridge waiting to be bought it isn't alive and hasn't been for some while.

Not eating the whale wouldn't have changed the fact that it was dead in the first place. If anything, in my opinion, you made it's death worth something; rather than being killed for no reason.

I don't support whaling, its banned for good reason, namely there's not enough whales in the sea to feed hungry but otherwise well fed humans, hell, even fish stocks are crashing, but I don't think you can burn in hell over trying it once. Just don't get hooked on Snorky or anything. :P

I am pretty sure a whale or a dolphin or a killer whale (which is a type of dolphin anyway) are mammals. Fish lay eggs.
