Best advice for you, you gotta find the groove. Your playing a scale here, and not getting the panther feel at all. Too square. Work on your E's and A's, if you know what that means. This is a jazzy, funky tune, and you have smoothed all the swing out of it.

@rvcadg you need a jack to jack cable (small to big, or an adapter). then connect the small end to the headphone input on laptop, and the big end into the line in input (or instrument input if you have on free). Hope this helps!

its actually not a bad habit per se there is no right or wrong way to play the bass...2 of the greatest bassist of all time plays with 1 finger james jamerson is one and geddy lee uses the flutter finger technique to play alot of his songs. but 2 fingers is just the typical way, also acoustic bass players also play with 1 finger, the stand up type...if u play with 1 finger go ahead but try playing death metal songs with it just wont happen.

Two fingers is, really, just easier. Your fingers get less sore while you're learning and you can play a lot longer without getting tired. Of course, if you want to play metal, you probably want to start playing with a pick instead of your fingers.
