Under Lisbon,voting rights depend on a country's population. Would you be happy with TURKEY having 20 TIMES THE VOTING RIGHTS OF IRELAND ?
Most Europeans also want to keep their own constitutions and parliamentary democracies,health systems,legal systems,school systems,own police and military !

All 27 member countries must ratify, Poland and the Czech Republic are expected to do so soon.
The treaty is 96% the same as the constitution that the French and Dutch voted against. This time only Ireland was "allowed" to vote by Brussels.
The treaty turns the EU into a superstate with it's own "citizens" who were not asked for their consent.
Open Europe is a good place to start looking for information.
Lucky Norway,Switzerland,Iceland & Litchenstein are not members and so still free.
