If you spoke in this boring mono-tone voice throughout an interview you would be Screwed... you will have lost the Interviewers interest within a few minutes!!
have a bit of enthusiasm and vary your tone, pitch and pace to emphasise certain points!!
Eh, Mate. I am a Human Resources Director. I have been doing this for nearly 30 years. I appreciate what you are trying to do, and that is to help others. Do keep in mind that most, if not all, of the Human Resources professionals have heard them all.We know a canned or prepared speech from another. I suggest it is best to be "genuine" and "sincere". Otherwise, most of us have what is called the "bullshit" radar. We DO NOT HIRE bullshitters. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
@Search4diabetescure. Please do continue with your diabetescure, who is the fool on earth to hire you as a H.R Director and paying you for 30-years, also tell us how many employees were thrown out of job, which were selected by you for any post in the companies you changed again & again...? ? ?
@tariqjalal1 - Actually, my retention rate is over 75% for those I hired. How about your longevity in your jobs? How frequently do you turn over from one job to another?
This is genius. If done subtly this would indeed highlight the words "you need me" "there's a golden opportunity in me" and "offer me the job".
People will not notice the gently laying the hand on the table if you are already using them a little. You can steer the conversation through subconscious cues!
I am going to practice this technique, I think it exudes confidence. A few good questions you can ask your interviewer..... 1. How do you differentiate your company from the competitors? 2. What do you see ahead for your company in the next 5yrs? 3. What were the strengths and weaknesses of the last person who held this job? 4. What are the most immediate challenges of the position that need to be addressed in the 1st three months? 5. Performance expectations of this position overthe 1st 12mo.?
the thing is that this doesnt work on somone you dont have rapport with. no to mention you cant make anybody do anything that they dont want to do without it really being in there best interest. you have to have something they need or they are going to see right through you. i dont know how it is in whatever country hes from but, most americans wont fall for it unless you trance them. and that requires trust...
@iirigo haha it's been a very long time, but just from the top of my head, I remember "Do it" over and over again, and "see you at the top" meaning at the top of this screen, where the website address is written, telling you to go type it in.
If I was the interviewer I don't think I would like those answers. The strengths are so vague it's like saying "I have no strengths, but I like to use words that sound good to hide that." They can be said about anyone, don't show a big enough picture of the specific person. The weaknesses was a non-answer. I see lack of acknowledgment of weaknesses as unrealistic pride or deception. The "golden opportunity" sounds like canned language with extra sugar. It turns me off.
what if the interviewers know about this subconscious-conscious brain thing ? like they would be knowing about the use of these words by either watching this or some similar video or from somewhere else, they may feel that we are trying to impose control over them or they might get pissed off, what then ? they may not hire us ? so what should be done about it ? BTW does using such phrases even work ? if yes everyone out there should have been using them (O.o)
Thank you so much, this is absolutely excellent and is a definite must see for grads. I hear your video and I feel so much more confident now and I was compelled to express my thanks.
Those are exactly the overused answers employers shiver from hearing over and over again. You're not fooling anyone with avoiding the weakness-question and you're not impressing anyone without giving practical examples of your strengths.
alot of those questions don't be ask at jobs like giant egale or target....... they say "explain a time when u this or explaing a time when u that" and that BS so this stuff don't help
dont say ''if you offer me the job, when will you call me?'' everything else is pretty much what i use and i have only failed 1 out of 5 interviews. never tell a joke!
The responses are certainly persuading, but you would have to be in the presence of a very dimwitted interviewer to make any real progress without them noticing. While a downward facing palm can be convincing it also comes off as being overbearing and demanding. Not something most employers are looking for. An open palm, on the other hand, is more friendly and open, it shows you have nothing to hide. Idea's intriguing, but I would never risk openly drawing attention to the back of the hand
I watched your vid and decided to try to use your techniques. Well, to my amazement, I have had three interviews in the past week and all three prospects have offered me a position. I have to admit, during two interviews I did not have a table to put my hand on, so I simply made a hand gesture when I used the words I wanted them to notice. Now, I only need to figure out with company best suits my needs, monetarily and where benefits are concerned. I can't believe how easy it was.
If your'e concerned your interviewer has a knowledge of embedded commands the most subtle and effective way of analogicaly marking the command is simply to switch your eye contact to the person's left eye;very effective.

I hate subliminal messages being thrown at me from our commercialist world, so why would I do the same? I'm not going to brain wash an employer into hiring me if I'm not cut for the job. This cancels out the entire point of the interview process - for the employer to diagnose who is best suited for the job. Stupid video, stupid method. If you don't deserve the job, you shouldn't get it. It is a purely selfish act.
Do you have a short video on "How to persuade a cop into giving you a warning every time?!" Another way is to ask for the original top sheet, then they must close the book and give you a warning but if the cop refuses to give you the original, go and have your copy notarized and give it to the district court, the cop endorsing the violation ticket will be liable for it.
The cheesy answers are suspicious enough that they'd be examined by the professional people hosting the interview. Also, what's to say a dozen people haven't already used those sentences before you? before they turned out to be dumbbums?
You're hired! I don't even have a business!
