  • its called a quick draw not a runner.

  • nice nuts

  • " i just take a look at my nuts and see if one will fit."

  • I may just be tripping, but does anyone else see the face in the bottom rock?

  • ".... constricts towards .. the bottom and maybe out towards the front of the crack"

    think the term is "tapers"

  • @beechy111111 Another college kid with big words looking for my job

  • @mikebarter387 hey don't get me wrong, thought the video was well done, but man I wish you right about the college kid, unfortunately those days are LONG gone :(

  • taper is not a big word, smaller than constricts....

  • 7:33 rofl :p

  • thanks a lot ^_^

  • Thanks for the great vid!

  • I'm loving the videos, it's good to know Mike knows his nuts - mine feel much safer now.

  • Thanks guys. Good stuff as usual.

  • Have you ever seen Polymer Nuts, I saw some, But I dont know if I could trust them. They had metal wire, But the actual nut was made of polymer.

  • I think I did see some at one time? I guess the only real advantage would be weight saving. Fist size hexcentrics and such. My guess is that they are fine if someone was to go through the trouble of marketing, design, etc.. I am with you though and most likely will not be getting any soon. Have to wonder how well they seat. Somebody send me a couple and I could have a more informed opinion.

    The Mike

  • I would have to think that, Even with High strength polymer, They could grind and scrape In the crack, And possibly lose their hold.

  • @mikebarter387 They work fine alright, but if they take a big fall, best of luck trying to get them out!

  • @AUGRE12345 . i have polymer nuts. in fact ive used them upto e7( british trad climbing) . they actually absorb more shock than metal ones which is a plus. and the main reason i have them is for placements like really fragile flakes and cracks where i dont want to damage the rock.

  • Ahh i love your videos!

    but where is mike!?
