Kennedy voted against the Iraq War.
Democrats have been striving to get the troops and veterans better armor, benefits, and post service healthcare. Meanwhile, Bush makes jokes about not finding WMDs, changes his rationale for why we're even in Iraq, and overextends the military all for political games. The GOP in Congress rolled over for him like a whipped dog, either because of fear or their own lust for power.

Republicans don't give a shit about the troops, they just exploit them for their own power grabs.
By that, I mean a major portion of them serving in Congress. I think there still are some good ones.

When you have an old car to sell and you want $500 for it, You ask $700 for it. Then you tell the buyer you will come down to $500 just to be a nice guy and give the buyer a bargain. That is what Bush has just pulled off. We voted for the Democrats to "Get out of Iraq", so the President asks for more troops. So the Democrats will settle for stopping him by staying at the same level (No more increase). Bush has won and duped the Democrats. We will continue business as usual.
