  • Great Personality Hes Great As A Man As A Musician And As Both

    Respect...

  • one of the reasons i started playing bass as a kid... was that in my childhood mind i always thought the bassists were the good, noble, nice guys... with almost compelling personalities while guitarists are the broadchested attention freaks that they are...all yelling I AM THE LORD OF SWEEPING and doing the same thing...etc Billy Sheehan just reinforced that vibe that i was feelin for 9 years now:D

  • He's really nice and humble!

    Oh... and he freakin' rocks!

  • For sure one of my bass idols.

  • I think billy sheehan technique is one of the most completes, its really a full throtlle one

  • He's one of my heroes! :D

  • he never stops amazing me :)

  • whats that song playing in the beginning... that drivin' 80's guitarriff thing?

  • lol pause at 5:55, sheehan looks so cool and funny there :P

    he's a bass beast!

    respect

  • I have no idea why he's so modest about his voice. It's superb. He's amazing.

  • He reminds me of Steve Vai too. Just a humble guy cool guy.

  • That is cool that he plays the prodution model.

  • i think the real cool thing here is the fact that you can buy a bass like his, you don't have to customize the shit out of it.

  • Billy Sheehan is SO AMAZING. AS a bass player and a great guy, too.

  • Is that a bass or a spaceship? Those lights were off the hook.

  • I've been watching Billy since he played the bars of Buffalo with Paul Varga and Dave Constantino in the band Talas, an amazing band. If you can still find their CD's or albums...buy them !!! Billy is one of the best bassists ever and maybe the best rock bass player and he has the attitude liike the guy next door...very humble.

  • nice guy

  • Wow he slaps too, something the NEVER does

  • He's really humble and very common sense. His work ethic is also insane. I think we can all learn a lesson from Billy

  • dude he looks like steve vai's twin haha. great bass player.

  • The laser is tight, but the LEDs are amazing. I wish I had some on my bass, but I heard it's pretty hard to install them by yourself.

  • hi there can anybody tell me what´s the intro song of this video!?!?! thanks

  • Three Days Blind by Billy Sheehan on the Compression album

  • Sims in London? dude, i gotta get me some of those lightup thingys.

  • im not a bass player. But this man is fucking fantastic to watch. im so glad he was the bassist of mr big. Thats a cool bass too. Hope he points me out with that laser one day. haha.

  • give her your regards HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • That bass is rediculous. I love it!

  • beast on bass, he's my favorite bassist

  • Ha, that bass is like an inspector gadget bass! I love it!

  • The only Yamaha guitar I like! Is his sig. bass.

  • Billy you are the best!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone know where I can get a hipshot d-tuner?

  • you can get them directly through Hipshot. Or look up Guitarpartsresource.

  • What the- ?!

How did he get a drop B?

    How?!

  • He has a Hipshot D-Tuner that with the flick of a lever drops his E to a D and then he bends the neck of his bass forward thus dropping the tuning even more.

  • Billy,, Terry and Vai on the same album ? goddamn...

  • I want a laser pointer and blue lights on my bass!!!

  • Nice guy, just like Paul Gilbert - they really connect with the audience, especially in these one-on-one videos.

  • much love!

    billy rules!

  • Seems like a really nice guy.

  • I want little blue lights!

  • great skill, great personality

  • yamaha basses rule...and so does this guy...one of my alltime favs:D

  • billy's sooo awesome!!! pure technical mastery!!!

  • for the people up there the song is "three days blind" off of the cd compression

  • i saw billy sheehan play at club infinity at williamsville last night with ted and tom reinhardt from gamalon and also constantino... i talked to him after the show and it was frickin awesome, plus he is a really nice dude

  • Hes using a small portable amp i think, thats why =] he normally has 2 amps one for low and another for high, and it does sound very bassy ^^

  • His bass does sound like crap.. but he plays damn well nonetheless

  • I think I know what you mean. I'm more used to Bass guitars sounding all funk. He treats it more like a heavy metal lead guitar.

  • That's because the mic that picks up his voice, picks also the sound of the string hitting the neck, it's like playing with the amp off-line. Well, that's my opinion.

  • you probably did hear him play with steve vai. billy sheehan himself is amazing, but coupled with steve vai...musical orgasm.

  • i think i heard him play it with steve vai

  • what is that intro song?

  • blue powder. he plays it with Vai

  • no its not...isnt it 3 days blind?
