We are preventing a theocracy (that has threatened Israel with total destruction) and an militaristic dictatorship (which invaded S Korea) from gaining + power.

Second, in your digression are suggesting that since Israel has a military that can defend itself against its aggressive neighbors, that we should allow Iran develop nuclear weapons which WILL prompt the Israelis to defend themselves by attacking Iran?
