Because United wised up and decided not to create a subsidiary LCC like Southwest. Also, they are retiring their Mainline 737's and need the A320's to replace - I recently flew on one of the former Ted planes repainted in the United livery. It was funny to see the blue and white United paint job on the outside, Ted orange and blue inside. I guess they're waiting to redo the interiors later in '09. Take Care. Joe
