  • J'adoreee.<3

  • Swiss Roll. :P

  • Swiss Power.;)

I'm Swiss but I don't speak French. There is really a SWISS German, not the German they speak in Germany. In Swiss the number for fire emergencies and the information line is quite the same, 118 and 1818/1811. that's really confusing.;) I'm sorry for my English.

  • This never gets old for me.

  • lol

  • very good.it is ok.conglatulations.super ,super.nao falem mal do que é bom, falem bem seus comentaristas in vejosos

  • im going to take a guess but i think 118 is our 911 lol

  • he says "don't break my balls"

  • any youtube link to the instrumental?

  • lol my french teacher showed us this he sed they are saying wen der is a fire call 118 like in america its 911 and in england its 999

  • Good video, and the beat was catchy. I liked it, although I don't have a clue what they were saying. What is 118?

  • I was stupid. I posted that comment first without reading the other comments. The video makes sense now. lol.

  • 118 is their "9-1-1".

In Switzerland, you dial 118 for an emergency.

The reason they made this video is because people mistakenly dial 118 so many times that it's become a problem. The number for "information" or something similar to that, is very close to 118, thus people accidently dial 118 when they really don't have an emergency.

  • the Swiss equivliant of 911

  • HAHA I LOVE THIS!

  • Awesome song, cool vid, a public service message, what more could you possibly ask for?

  • Trop fort.....!!! bien joue

  • take a hike mate it is swiss that speak french it takes about calling the emergince number when you do not have a emerginec . so enjoy it mate.

  • This guy is a dumb asshole. Did he think all Swiss people speak Swissish or something?

  • The Swiss has 4 Languages who are Spoken.

    German, Frech, Italian, Retoromanian.

    There is nothing like Swissish!!

  • but it's swiss-german not german

  • Yea but the "Amssprache" is German. but you`re right we speek swiss-german.

  • Invite me over next time you make another video, it has to be a blast! Great job!

  • This is awesome! It gets the message across! Very creative!

  • i love this video, who knew cent dix huit could be so funny!

  • This is the most the most amazing video EVER!!!!As a Swiss citizen I could not be more proud. I'm telling everyone I know.

  • If you wanna know a numer in Switzerland, you used to call 111, and the fire department number was 118.

Now 111 doesn't exist anymore, and several others appeared, 1811 and 1818 and fire department's still 118.

People are too stupid and keep dialing 118 asking for phone numbers and adresses...

  • they are saying 118 we come to your needs

  • uh uh witz aon diz witz

  • Great teamwork to yall. Very nice effort.

  • this is like the coolest video ever, i love it, and the dispache girl is frikin hot

  • uh uh wietz

  • i could scratch with this at the club

  • This video is great... super.

  • I think it is a great idea to get the message across, because its so "catchy". I am half swiss but I speak german not french so too bad I don't actually understand what they are saying

  • I am in LOVE with this! It's hysterical! Everyone should see this!

  • They made this video because, in Switzerland, the old information line was 111 and has changed for 1818.

The firefighters line is 118 and a lot of people use that number for informations, and it overload the firefighters line.

    Sry for bad english

  • hey non on parle pas seulement suisse allemand en suisse^^

elle est bien cool ste video...... =)

  • j'aime pas l'accent suisse

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!!! LOL didn't know what they were saying until I read some of the comments...with I knew everything they said (like sub-titles)

  • I think they said 118 =p. My school is addicted to this song

  • That was pretty sweet

  • What a great idea! And....those firefighters are cute!!

  • 1/3 For those who haven't followed the story...

The song is about how if you need an electrician, call one; if you need a locksmith, call a locksmith; but if you have a fire then 118 is the right number and stop calling the directory inquiry.

  • 2/3They've been receiving HUNDREDS of calls each month from people trying to reach directory assistance/information (1818) - so they want everyone to know that 118 is NOT the number to call for anything but a fire emergency.

  • 3/3 At the end, the guy is explaining that regrettably the fire department will be unable to help you with your house burning down because they are so busy dealing with non-emergency calls. So you should "tatoo the number in your underwear" so you won't make a mistake.

  • Lol, c'est sérieux ca ? Je veux dire, les suisses appellent les pompiers pour tout interventions lol ? Et bé ..

    Anyways, Good video though :D

  • Rap has a very positive use in the modern post industrial world, very few ppl know that its two Jamaican guys that brought the art form from Jamaica to NYC.(using turntables and sampling songs etc)

Brillient use of the spoken word for a very good cause.

Bravo Swiss fire men, I hope more public organisations follow ur lead.

  • Excelente!!!!

  • what in the world was that guy doing to the cow????

  • Comment removed

  • "sonde dix huit" = "cent dix-huite" which is "one hundred eighteen" = 118

  • When the lady throws the toilet paper at him, it sounds like he says something about a toilet and the shits.

  • Made by the firefighters in the French section of the country. The number for emerg. was changed to 118, was like a 411 in NA. They still kept getting 411 calls; it was tying up the lines for people that were in real emergencies. Rap was to remind people that 118 is for emergency only. The serious part of the message is at 2:38 they say "if you don't stop tying up this phone line, people will receive a busy message and they will burn to death in their house because of you" (rough translation).

  • It's not SWISS... they're speaking FRENCH.

  • Umm, I hate to break this to you, but there is no "Swiss" language. There are four official langugages of Switzerland: German, French, Italian and Romansh.

  • French is one of 3 official languages in Switzerland.

  • That's because we have 3 official languages and the majority of us can speak two of these languages at minimum. ;)

  • can we get an english translator please...?!

  • hehe this was awesome

  • now this is passion for your job.

  • I wish I knew what they were saying

  • that was freaking great, :D

  • i wanna bang the chick, foonlah

is this swisexican sounds like mexicans rapping but I wanna ram it in the chicks

  • Nice

  • This is one of the greatest videos ever. And I know French, which makes it SO much better. If I had time I would translate the song and put it up here, but I'm at work.

  • what are they saying?

  • something about how they have had to many firefighting calls and their sick of it.

  • those female firefighters are hot, I like the first girl most of all

  • c'est trop bon!

  • German, French, Italian, Romansh

  • 118!! Ausgezeichnet! Gut gemacht ihr Schweizer. :)

  • The people in their formal uniforms say, toward the end of their part, that "one day your house may burn and you won't be able to phone because of people like you (who make calls to the fire emergency number instead of information) and (all) will be lost".

  • Thanks for the translation! That part sounded so deep, and I wanted to know the translation.

  • If they're Swiss firefighters then why are they speaking French??

  • French is one of three major languages spoken in Switzerland.

  • I apologize for my ignorance and thanks for the info.

  • What are the other two ? whats the national language ?

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the info :)

  • uno uno ocho!!

    wenisimo!

  • How do you say "Word!" in french. LOVE IT! I'd like to see the translation as well, but I get the idea. "l'un un huit" for the win. I'm going to go put 118 on the back of all my shorts.

  • Word is "mot" in French pronounced mo

  • i think you'd say something like "Super!" or "Chouette!", maybe. idk.

  • Do they say "Westside at the end?? "

  • Nope, they say "oui, c'est ca" meaning "Yes, that's it"

  • Please Swiss people! Could you translate what they're saying? I can only understand some of it.

  • At school I have something called student news and I read about this and it is SO DANG FUNNY!!!XD

  • greetings to swiss firemen from Turkiye. good work.. greetings to all firemen in world wide, thanks for them they keep our lifes in safe..

  • the swiss are awesome

    thanks for the chocolate

  • haha! Wow! Pretty cool. But if these guys are Swiss, why are they rapping in French?

  • because in swiss we speak 4 diffrent languages german, french, italian and romandie ;)

  • That's really cool! Wish I could speak 4 languages!

  • we have 4 languages in switzerland:

    french, german, italian and romanche...

mais trop mdr les pompiers suisses! bravo!

  • BIEN POR LOS BOMBEROS

  • Those boots are hot!

  • esta cancion esta bien chida

  • ಠಠ

  • CNN said that people were calling 118 (swiss' 911) but wanted the swiss' directory assistance (118118). the firefighters made this rap in frustration.

  • Here's a bit:

Cent dix-huit, au cas ou tu flippes

Cent dix-huit, inscrit-le dans ton slip

    English translation:

118, in case you freak out

118, write it in your undies

  • this song rocks!!

  • Great! I'd love a translation, too, though I understood some of it.

  • Are the two women firefighters or just models for the video?

  • No they all look like that over there!

  • Damn, someone book me a flight to Switzerland immediately!!!!!!! ha.

  • The Swiss are Hot! LOL

  • 118118 is directory assistance in the UK. is it the same else were in the EU? In the US 411 is is directory assistance and 911 is for emergency .

  • hahah bravo c'est super! la suisse qui rap, right on!

  • Just saw a story about this on CNN, basically the firefighters made this cause people were calling 118 (similiar to America's 911) and the people didnt mean to call 118 they meant to call the Swiss Directory (not sure what that number is)

  • Yeah, that's how I found out about this video too.

  • Brilliant! Nicely done!!! ;)

  • Hahahahaha! The song is actually really funny and good!

  • someone should post a translation

  • of the lyrics

  • Amazing. 0.o

  • So funny.
