BTW seychelles people are kind of nosy or (zaksyon) at times

  • Don't understand why people always stand around to watch. Run Mofo's!

  • @WhimzyMimzy1 Tsunamis are rare and not all tropical islands have tsunami alert systems.

  • I was snorkeling off anse royal when it happened we were straight out from Kaz Kreol when the first surge came it took us across the bay to fairy land and as we walked back along the beach the sea receeded before the second big one we all ran up the secondry road past the petrol station and the wave and crap caught us about 200m inland.

  • it was on the news

  • only 1 person went missing they where found. NOt a serious tsunami

  • Was at intendance having a picnic that day, remember a member of staff from Banyan tree coming to warn us about a devastating tsunami in Indonesia, but we kept on swimming thinking that we wont be affected being so far down south from the quake. It was the first time i ever saw CORALS at Intendance.

  • Hi I saw it too

    Was at anse royal mahe.

    where were you

  • we got a very weak aftershock of the tsunami,if we got the whole thing itself we would of been wiped out!

  • i was there as well, its nearly 2 years ago and still in my mind...

  • sry 3 years...

  • very sad, poor seychelles, but hey I LOVE my country

  • they didn't show that to the news, it would affraid tourist. and no tourists means no money for seychelles...

even if that happened few years ago, i'm today sad to see this video.

  • Is that Mahe or Praslin? How comes we didn't see this on the news?? I heard 3 people died as well.

  • It's not the wave's size that counts, it's that the water keeps comming and comming wich is the problem.

  • Does this mean that Tsunami reaches Seychelles too? scary in deed, I am so sorry for Seychelles.

  • That small wave caused a tremendous amount of damage to a country in the middle of the ocean and a nation with limited resources.

  • Its only a small wave,no problem
