Narconon is still sending me e-mail advertisements that I never requested. Twice I have asked them to "unsubscribe" me but that bit about unsubscription from them is hogwash. I will archive it, send it Ford Green, my attorney, and if enough people complain, we can use it as evidence if there is ever a class action lawsuit. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. QUESTION: Is Association of Better Living and Education International yet another Scientology front group like WISE?
Three different recruiters I've talked to about doing some overnight security/janitor work for the church have told me that there is some "pocket money" to be made since they don't have very many donations coming in yet all 3 claim to be able to support themselves without a "real job", volunteering 50-60 hours a week. How is that possible? Do they live at the Church for free?
The videos of WISE victims interviewed by WBM show that Hubbard Tech raises sales in the short term by hard selling; then the business tends to collapse, staff leave, customers disappear.
They also confirmed splitting up couples to increase sales.
Narconon, Criminon, W.I.S.E. Applied Scholastics, Way to Happiness, CCHR (Citizens Commission on Human Rights) are **all** under the umbrella of C of $, in one way or another.
The dentists video is a great explication of how Sterling takes over your business - in the case of the female dentist, with Scientologists hired as staff, an alert would be sent to Org when she had a good month and they would reg her big-time. Parasites! (did I use 'reg' correctly? I getting into the lingo!)
I understand your point, Tory and yes, brainwashing is a pretty serious and dangerous thing but even that: people get told to stay away from drugs and even that take it, people are told to stay away from cults and even that join them and that is stupid. And I also miss those super intelligent members of any cult. Where are there?
I hear from people more than I can believe who were *almost* going to pay Scientology, one way of another. They then got on the net, saw all the videos, and bada boom: They're not paying. You'll never see or speak to most of those "in" and the people handling those out sadly look and act like morons.
Thanks to the Net, and all who spend time exposing them, fewer and fewer are getting suckered "in".
that is an awesome thing. the net is scientology's worst nightmare. my neighbor preeches scientology every day to me. it is sick. i yell at her sometimes. just cannot take that crap. she sends all her money to them and is broke and overdrawn all the time. she thinks her brother dropped his body and came back as a 4 yr old boy in oklahoma.
Well done Tory! Thank you. Another comment I hear from people who observe from a distance ex-cult members is that they must be "weak minded" to have gotten sucked in. You are right on track to point out mind control methods because no one is immune. It has nothing to do with intelligence or weak mindedness. If you are human, you can be manipulated with theses techniques. There is no shame in being human.
love you Tory! Excellent video as always :) I went 2 the church about 2 yrs ago to check it out, after a written test and a talk with me, they said "We don't want you to cry anymore, you HAVE to buy these books and the DVD, PLEASE just give us your credit card information to get these materials, we desperately want you to get better" I didn't have anymore, they replied "please, this book is only 8 dollars" I left and they proceeded to call me for over a year after that..what's up with that? thnx
In short, they get desperate. They're under pressure to get stats up, to sell products. And if the people inside won't or can't pay (and who can blame them, really, they've been bled white by the Church of Scientology already!) then the next port of call is anyone who might possibly have expressed even the faintest scintilla of interest: people like your good self. It's quite sad, really.
Thanks, I was always curious as to these tactics, I would have thought they would have said 'good riddance' to someone who wasn't interested. I greatly appreciate the reply :) Hehe, and just for a topper on my story, I did have the money I was just super put off by their pushyness, so as soon as i left the big Toronto, Canada location, I walked across the street to the strip club and had a few beers, and i met Mickey Rourke that night sitting up front in peverts row...(yes im a girl)
I love your videos, Tory... I'm always happy when I hear you say that the year has been going fantastic for you and all of us who've been amazed at all the recent developments with the Co$
This vid really reminded me how people who are still in don't know what we know which can be very easy to forget:) It's up to all of us to keep up the effort and help people wake up from the nightmare of COS
Thanks for the info Tory. It is hard for people who were smart enough to not get suckered in to the COS to see someone else as smart when it is so clear to them what is going on. Also when the cult members stare off in to space and don't talk it is also easy to see them as dumb because they don't interact. While they might have hi IQ's they missed the Q on this matter. I think you are very smart so I know what you are saying is true. But for those that don't buy that I will say remember
that these are people and victims at that and while they are frustrating to deal with they are worth the effort as every person is. I for one look forward to seeing them use their brains once they get out :)
The guy who owned the home health care company I used to work for was trained by Sterling Management, there were LRH books all over, and big posters listing the different conditions and formulas. Apparently now they got him to shell out tons of $ for the leather-bound, gold leaflet versions of books, and he's payed thousands in advance for training courses, and Sterling sends Scientologists to audit his company and employees. We tried to warn him but he wouldn't listen!
Just like Tory said, exposing their abuses is the best way to kick their arses. Basically, it draws people away from their ranks. That cuts short any donations the CoS might otherwise have got. That, obviously, reduces any income derived from the cult, which makes conditions inside even worse, which in turn prompts even more people to leave.
In other words, it hits the CoS right where it hurts: in the wallet!
Statements like that just give the CoS more ammunition against their critics. Gives them the option of saying "You see? They want to kill people! That's what we're up against!"
Now, we know they'll quite happily make up any number of accusations, but please don't make their job any easier. Think before you comment.

Tory, with all the rumors of Travolta possibly considering leaving the church, you should post an open letter to him.
Also, do you know about the site where people can pledge to support him if he leaves?

Are Scientologists associated with the C Street Christian Mafia, a.k.a., The Family?

No...but they do have many front groups:

Ya if Scientology were full of morons, we wouldn't have so many bright, articulate, critical exscientologists out there telling their stories.

An excellent short website that gets to the heart of it is howcultswork(dot)com.
It explains how people get hooked, and then how they get trapped even when they are thinking of leaving.
