I recently read a book by Theo Aronson "Grandmama of Europe" which talks about Queen Victoria's crowned descendants. I learned a great deal about Victoria Eugenie - from her early "misdemeanors" of lying and disobeying to her mother, to the nightmare that was in essence her wedding, to the horrible treatment she endured at the hands of her husband.
