I actually listen to the show. Morgan never used that term. It was used by Brian Sussman, in jest and mockery, after he heard the term used in serious discourse as a source of pride by african and mixed race orators. Now, when its politically convenient, it becomes a slur. Morgan criticized his use of the word and Sussman apologized for it.

What a bunch of freaking babies! Let us get this straight. You are listening to a program on the radio, you hear something you don't like so you decide to record it and purposely shut it down. That is called malice. You are purposely hurting someone's lively hood because of your own beliefs. Here something else you could have done and it would have been much faster, turn the freaking dial on the radio and listen to something else.
There is no difference in saying you support torture and you support the death penalty. They both cause someone harm, yes killing someone is harming them. That Spocko person wasn't looking to voice his opinion, he was purposely looking to make that radio show lose sponsorship and in effect possibly get shutdown. Spocko is no different than a parent that leaves their child in front of the TV with cinemax on late night and is surprised to see nudity on the screen.

You don't seem to understand that its called the Free Market. If Disney owned-KSFO misrepresents their product to their customers (i.e., their advertisers) then Spocko exterting his right to freedom of speech simply does the service of correcting a temporary imbalance in the free market (i.e., Disney & KSFO lose advertisers that they shouldn't have had in the first place). A free market requires a free flow of accurate information or it is inefficient.

Torture and the death penalty aren't killing out of anger. In both cases the person causing the other harm thinks they are justified to do so. Both have captured prisoners, both are harming the prisoner. If anything torture is more practical because at least the person can live after torture.

I actually listen to the show. Morgan never used that term. It was used by Brian Sussman, in jest and mockery, after he heard the term used in serious discourse as a source of pride by african and mixed race orators. Now, when its politically convenient, it becomes a slur. Morgan criticized his use of the word and Sussman apologized for it.

This is absurd, there is nothing even remotely offensive about what Morgan and Sussman said. In reality they are being attacked for their tough approach on terrorism. If you have a problem with what you hear on their morning show turn it off and switch over to Stephanie Miller on Air America she loves to support the "rights" of terrorists. I find it interesting that ANYBODY is defending Disney/ABC on this--the wrong done is threatened abuse of copyright law and the court system to benefit a corporation with a lot of lawyers. It would be just as offensive if the talk show were rabid, violent left-wing ranting and the blogger was conservative. Don't politicize free speech--it's legit to republish parts of a copyrighted work in the process of critiquing it, and it's equally legit to boycot sponsors of a program you don't agree with.

There is no difference in saying you support torture and you support the death penalty. They both cause someone harm, yes killing someone is harming them. That Spocko person wasn't looking to voice his opinion, he was purposely looking to make that radio show lose sponsorship and in effect possibly get shutdown. Spocko is no different than a parent that leaves their child in front of the TV with cinemax on late night and is surprised to see nudity on the screen.

You don't seem to understand that its called the Free Market. If Disney owned-KSFO misrepresents their product to their customers (i.e., their advertisers) then Spocko exterting his right to freedom of speech simply does the service of correcting a temporary imbalance in the free market (i.e., Disney & KSFO lose advertisers that they shouldn't have had in the first place). A free market requires a free flow of accurate information or it is inefficient.

Torture and the death penalty aren't killing out of anger. In both cases the person causing the other harm thinks they are justified to do so. Both have captured prisoners, both are harming the prisoner. If anything torture is more practical because at least the person can live after torture.

Indeed, our country is founded on freedoms. These sociopaths are free to say these things because of it. However, I and others are free to say that they're sociopaths and equally free to not spend my money with companies that enable them to speak publicly. Freedom of speech swings both ways.
And incidentally, at some point advocating violence is not freedom of speech, it's a crime.
