@ReddoFreddo Too me it looks like they are taking unnecessary risks. Their tactics look to be fairly ineffective. Too much risk for little gain. Their boat was way to close to the harpoon. I doubt the Shepherd (SSCS) would be dumb enough to do that. Also, having a small boat behind the Nishin Maru wont accomplish much. SSCS uses it's ships to block the slipway of the ship. A ship can prevent the whalers from delivering their catch, a small inflatable wont stop them, as seen in this video.

And i dont care about whale fishing anymore cause its a bit stupid to say to people who mainly eat sorts of fishes that are already there that they are assholes while we are destroing the eco-system and the healthcare by antibiotics by breeding (and heavily torchering but in that case it isnt important) animals for us to eat.

I agree with them ''trying to stop whaling'' but they dont actually do much unlike Sea Shepherd. In fact they helped save the Japanese factory ship in 2006-7. They also refuse to give Sea Shepherd the co-ordinates of the Japanese fleet.

They are realy just banner wavers. If your a supporter of Greenpeace consider swapping your allegiance to Sea Shepherd.

Funny how the Greenpeace is a group of 'hippie lazy ass fools'. I can clearly see that by the fact that they just crossed paths with a giant whaling ship and nearly got themselves killed for an innocent whale. If that's the case, I wish I were a lazy ass fighting for what I really believe in.

The Blue whale was abundant at one point, the largest mammal on our planet. But now it has been brought down to the hundreds from past whaling. What makes you think that can't happen to the others?

The Japanese are not targeting Blue Whales which remain in the endangered in the thousands not hundreds, they are going after Minke whales which are close to 1 million in population and nowhere even close to being endangered.

My point, though, was that Blue whales were once abundant and not on the endangered species list. Abundant Whaling from years in the past brought them to their current standing. If Minke whales were over hunted, their population would certainly go down as well.

With over 1 million minkes in the ocean, it would take alot more pressure before we saw their #'s decline significantly. i've seen video of greenpeace ramming a fishing vessel in order to disable it, why shouldn't the fishermen be able to defend themselves and their property.

they dont ram the fishing vessle, the fishing vessle rams them actually, although it appears the other way round. if you shoot guns on the sea while a boat is rocking against a moving target, while not properly trained (are all japenese sailors trained marksmen?) you risk hitting someone, i find it hard enough to hit the centre of a stationary target at 50m, good luck to them
