  • Wow, this is beautiful! You're so talented!!

  • pretty cool dude, keep up the good work.

  • Oh my goodness! The colouring is so good! No, not good. What am I saying.... It's great! It looks so professional!

  • some people are just jealous because they don't have a talent that someone else has. you did an amazing job. love the coloring. :) is that your made-up character?

  • @SeltdaBeast422

they're just being jerks, They know I'm good <.<

hahaha, uuum and yes, he is my own character :)

  • @peachyd sweet. :)

  • Quite good work. But if you use the regular Prismacolors, you'll have much deeper color saturation. I use Prismacolors and Verithins (hard leads) exclusively, and they are the best quality. They are more expensive, but well worth the investment. (Just a little advice from one lefty to another).

  • @peachyd

my name is Hori on deviantart :)

  • D: wooow, it is really nice n-n

i dont understand why some people says something diferent e.é´

it is really cool, thanks for sharing o^o,nobody wants to teach me ^^

  • this is the worst colouring

  • @mithelen11 thanks. I try.

Where are your pictures, by the way? In the trash. where they belong, I presume...along with your lack of talent. I thought so.

  • this is rubbish

  • @mithelen11 your mum is rubbish.

  • @peachyd: xD Hahaha, that's awesome! I love the coloring, it's really nice :D Do you have a Deviantart I could find you at?

  • @peachyd you no wat! if u have nothing good to say then dont say anything at all! jeez didnt u at least learn that from your mom?! sound like ur mom is "rubbish" :P

  • @peachyd omg!~ sry >w< that replyi just sent about now was a mistake :O

i though sumone sedur mom was rubbish

  • @SasukeUchiha7233 hahaahha it's alright, it amused me

  • @peachyd LOL k ^^ it wuz pretty fun writing it :D

  • Woo! I'm not the only one that uses Crayola pencil crayons! :'D

  • How do you highlight and darken certain areas?

I'm trying to colour well with crayons and I fail at highlighting and adding shade which doesn't look like block colouring =/ I was wondering if you could help?

Your character is seriously amazing by the way - You're extremely talented!!!

  • @FatalMindedMe when you're done colouring the overall picture, go back with a darker shade than the one you were using and lightly add to dark parts. To 'add' highlights, just use white to blend.

  • @peachyd Thank you! =D

  • You have skillz haha this looks soo awesome!

  • holy shit I could never do tht. I have to patience. It would take me hours on end

  • WOW :o

    AMAZING :o

    artwork and coloring.

i've been trying to color with colored pencils like that for some time. but im having...problems.

    any tips??

  • Wow XD

  • WOW.

    Just... WOW.

    And they're Crayola pencils?!

Shit man, you're my hero. xD

  • that is the most amazing thing I've ever seen OMG

I don't have pencils for the skin - any ideas or types I could try to find?

  • All I use is

crayola light brown, tan, peach, and white :)

  • @ThatsaWrap100

Try using light brown, tan, peach, and white crayola colours in combination with each other.

  • your awesome I love your character, very cool

  • Amazing color.. What kind of paper are you using? and your character, Calim, is soo gorgeous ^^

  • Thank-you so much. Glad to hear people like my characters.

I use card stock from office depot or staples

  • This is.... amazing. 5/5

  • amazing 5/5

  • what color do u use for his skin tone?

  • All using coloured pencils, I use

    first: light brown

    second: tan

    third: peach

    fourth: white

  • Ummm, what knid of pen did you use to outline Calim?

Cause I don't know if I have the right one :(

  • STAEDTLER pigment liner sizes 0.3 and 0.5

  • Oh, thank you :)

  • sorri for bothering you again, but how do you layer and make it look smoothe? do u press hard?

  • Usually you should start out with light layers. Not hard layers. If you press too hard, the wax will build up and you won't be able to add anymore colors on top of it. You can blend with a colorless blending pencil or a white pencil. Using a variety of pressures is also a good technique.

  • thanks for the help =o

  • I wouldn't advise you to use a colourless blender, though. when I was more at an amateur level, I realized it made things look flat. As haniblive said, use white. It blends colours well and adds highlights.

  • i have a question should i put light colors first or dark colors?

    PS. awesome vids

  • Awesome question!

It depends on your preference. Most artists use light colours first, I find that too hard, so I personally start with dark colours and make my way up on the lighter scale.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • thanks for replying, and i will try dark colors first and see if i will get it right

  • i love the hair..xD

  • ur so awsome xD

  • the best picture ever i wish i could do this!!!

  • I love how you are so patient to coloring everything without leaving white spots.

I'm the type to sketch it out and leave it. XD

    I love it. :)

  • please please please make a tutorial!

  • can you please make a tutorial.

  • wow thats amazing how do you do that? I wish i knew how to do that maybe u should do a tutorial just if its too long break it up into parts :)

  • how do you shade with colour or with pencil crayons?

  • thats like one of the best pencil colouring jobs i'veever seen

i hate pencil crayon though, if you press too hard it leaves kind of a pattern on you paper, so i try to keep from pressing 2 hard, and sometimes taking tissue paper to smotthen it out, but it only makes the colour brighter

  • Still looking for some one to convince me that color pencil should be taken seriously. This did not help.

  • What the hell is that supposed to mean?

  • I don't think she meant to insult you or anything

She just ment that it comes naturally to her.

  • What exactly comes naturally to her?

    Insulting people?

  • O_O You are amazing.

Are you using regular pencil Crayons?

  • I'm using crayola :]

  • Really? Your using Crayola? Its really hard to blend, which sucks :(

  • It's easy for me, it just takes a lot of practise

  • i wouldn't dare try that ,i know its gonna end up in the bin

  • lol

  • I admire you so muchh!!!

When I try anything like that it comes out like crap XD

  • being left handed how do you not manage to smudge at all?

i'm left handed too and colouring is harder than it should be :I

  • try popping a bit of kitchen roll on the part that would smudge,im right handed so i cant help very much

  • Oh, I smudge. I smudge horribly, especially when I use black and blue (like on this picture) I usually just go over the smudges with an eraser when I'm done. People think erasers don't work with pencil crayons, but they work fine when it's light. Also, when I scan the pictures, I erase any smudges in photoshop.

  • that's really awsome how do you color like that!?

  • good job on your work. I like the way you did the hair. what is the name of the song on your video.

  • Wow, you really should make a colouring tutorial, because you've got mad colouring skills XD

  • Oh, but I already have :3

    Haha, thanks!

  • You have? =D where can I see it?

  • I agree.

    I love your work!

But, it's not on your youtube account.

  • I mean, your tutorial isn't there.

  • wow,it is a cool work that you have painted in that paper. I really do like it.

  • that was by far the best colored pencil work I have ever seen. Utterly amazing. What kind of paper did you use? 'Cause sketch paper always ends up making it look grainy.

  • I use the same colored pencils, but i still cant color as well as you.

  • wow you emo. but great coloring arn't those expensive colored pencils .. i so can't afford

  • lol how am I an emo?

XD and no, I use cheaper brands. Crayola is probably the cheapest around and prismacolour is only exspensive when you buy the professional brand. I use scholar which costs like, 22 bucks from walmart for 60..and crayola costs 12 dollars for 60.

  • wow....

  • Heh, thanks!

  • I love this picture. Your awesome at coloring. Something about making such a great drawing with such low-cost materials is so great. Personally, I use crayola crayons (120pck), crayola colored pencils (50pck), and the crayola Super Tip Markers (50pck), and try my best not use proffesional materials.

Crayons are awesome and are people should see their possibilities. Markers are good at making shadow, as long as you have the right colored markers though. An 8 pack just wouldn't do.

  • Yeah, They are really awesome. I have been drawing for 4 years, and been coloring for 1 year. I have though just recently bought pirsmacolor color pencils, and they are really great too! They are so soft. And they blend easily.

  • You're SO talented with pencil crayons @_@

I blew all my money on prismacolour premiers and my drawings are still crap. *needs to get off lazy ass to practice*

Do you have a deviantART account?

  • ^_^ Thats pretty damn cool. And the picture turned out really nice to!

Tis interesting watching skillfull people at work.

  • Wow! Great job hun! That's awesome! I wish I could do that, lol I just mess up when I try to color my drawings xD

  • whoo super awesomeness holie!! =D
