Blizzard is going straight down IMO. Like i understand the concept of BC, wrath, but cata comes along, and WTF? there is no gemeral theme, except destroying their peice of artwork. and deathwing doesnt drop anything! one thing thats funny is in worgen starting area, when you get to battle of gilneas, hearth back to shadowglen. all the herbs/ores are there but NO monsters. its wicked.

@TehKazlehoff You're so clearly wrong and missing the point of this video. Obsidium Ore gives better drop rates for lesser cata gems, you'll get 2 gems from 5 ore much more often than with Elementium Ore which will almost always give you 1 gem per 5. Vashj'ir sucks for mobility, everyone farms Deepholm, you are most likely mad you did the quests already.

@TehKazlehoff ? In what version of reality do you live? Most farmers are in Twilight Highlands for Elementium and Pyrite, as there is much more there. There is no Obsidium Ore in Uldum. Everyone looking for Obsidium farms Deepholme, as there is a mix of both Obsid and Elemen. If you're just looking for Obsidium, then this spot is where it's at, at fast respawn, but please do as you like. My gut tells me you've gone and completed the quests and couldn't exploit this area even if you wanted to. GG

@markybg There are certain areas where herb/mining xp is better than instancing, unless you're a tank and use my Drak'Tharon style instance running method

Sholazar Basin is one such area where herb / mining, because of nodes being so closely clustered, is actually on par or better than chain instance running. Certainly better than questing.

@Louis43thebeastmast Nah, most ppl have already leveled their mining and herbalism characters to make profit early, and have completed all quests in Hyjal - so they can no longer access this area. Besides, I'm not mining 24/7 and Obsidium Ore has begun to freefall in price, much like the Obama dollar.
