This tune was around circa my courting of my wife...or perhaps a bit after. I can't remember exactly. I do remember that it captured my thoughts about her in music and rhyme...and still does to this day. I tried to reproduce it a few years ago...but I can't hit those notes anymore.

Aw yeah, for me too. I always tell people not to ask/tell me anything about music after 1990. Pretty much died for me then, too. This song came from 1987, the last best year for pop music, IMO. I always loved this song. So emotional.

P.S. This isn't the video I remember -- The one I remember was in b&w and had a 1950s European theme to it. There was a woman with a little boy, I think, and she looked like a French woman of that era, very stylish, with short bangs and a ponytail and little glasses. But I like this video too.
