I would like this band better if they didn't claim to be 'Taqwacore' i.e. 'Muslim punks'. You can't claim to reject establishment & break free from authority when you follow the Qu'ran.

To those questioning the musicality of the group, I'd recommend listening to some of their studio recordings. A lot of them are available on youtube. The quality of the live recordings on this news piece is really poor.

It was only a matter of time before this came along. I think its great that young muslim and/or pakistani kids are embracing punk and skin culture. They're welcome in Minnesota anytime.
