  • May our God bless you precious Copt Christians. Greetings from Brazil. Christos anesti!

  • This is the Trisagion hymn in English and Greek, not Coptic.

  • @yannipapastavrou coptic and greek are similar in many aspects including the 25 greek alphabets and their pronounciations,, actually coptic can be considered a mix of greek and ancient egyptian...

  • @captainnemo1111 very similar both dogs

  • are coptics descended from the egyptian pharaohs?

  • @Rachulie yes

  • @MLGMajorityFFA I read that the Copts are direct decendants from the true ancient egyptians is this true as they do not look at all like any arab in geeral you see in cairo. Thewy look like a handsome and beautiful race of people and the singing is so nice.

  • @staceyfanny Verry True

  • @Rachulie most of them !!

  • @Rachulie Yes, because copt can't marry non-copt . They have got cross tatto in their hand, who is non-copt havent got them, so their blood is clean, maybe a bit of greek))

  • Is the TRISÁGION they are singing?

    In coptic?

  • @ortodoxiabrasil yes this is the Trisagion :)

  • Persecuted by evil overlords, just like Christ was in Judea. God bless the Coptic Church.

  • Thank you for posting this. Beautiful!

  • @mea69culpa God bless u,but I think u need to read more about Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria's history,It's an old Apostolic church since 2000 years ago by St.Mark,Coptic mean Egypt!!we are Coptic Orthodox as u are Greek Orthodox!!

  • Mi Breddas y re the Ankh of the world!!!!! We are with you becouse Muslims are Giygas!!!

  • also why do you guys get tatoos? it is forbidden in the chrisitan faith to get tatoos as said in the old testament sorry for bombareding your little video here but i really care for the souls of my other brothers in christ

  • @PhaorohCJ The tattoos on our right wrist are of the holy cross and were tattooed on orphans so that they were not raised as a muslim and now are used as a sign of eternal devotion to Jesus Christ since tattoos are permanent. Some also have tattoos of saints and jesus. They are not used as aesthetic images but rather spiritual icons.

  • May the Eucharistic Jesus, The Incarnate Word of God strengthen them in their sufferings.

  • I love this video. does anyone know who is singing?

It is the wrong translation btw, its supposed to me Holy Mighty not Holy Almighty,

Jesus is not the Almighty but rather God the father....must be an old translation. God Bless the Coptic Orthodox Church!

  • who cares if people are coptic or any other sect or orthodoxy it is about the acceptance of christ your lord and king following gods law and having faith and a relationship with the heavenly father and if anybody agrues with me about any of my points i will simply pray for them and there soul for their soul is just as doomed as the prophet muhammads or others who blasphemed agasint the god of ISREAL LET US BUILD BRIDGES TO ALL OUR CHRISTIN BROTHERS LET S NOT BREAK THEM

  • fake christians as they would know that tatooing one self is blsaphemy and not allowed in judeao christian teaching also all orthodox xhristianitys are just cultural christianity and dont truly belive and do itpurely for identity be a christian for the love of christ and the acceptance of all and not just your own sect your blasphemious will catch up to you sorry for hateing but i do not want my fellow christians to burn in hell becuase they follow silly sects of the church

  • @PhaorohCJ There are no "Sects of the Church." There are Sects, and there is the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, outside of which there is no salvation.

  • @aelwyn82 blasphemy i ought to smash every idol in every catholic church jesus would be on my side 100 percent jesus was a jew he preached not other than the word and the law and the sabbath he said he has not come to change the law butto furfill it destroy your idols and images and your carven woood idols i tell yu all coptic people come out of the belly of the beast to the god of isreal

  • @PhaorohCJ jesue was not jew he was a hebrew

  • @truth3253 he was a jew he was from the line of judah hence A JEW

  • @PhaorohCJ its like saying im arab so i must be muslim. he was not a jew where does it say in the bible he was a jew. hebrew does not =jew

  • @truth3253 hey, brother. Jesus was born from the Children of Isarel, of the Judah Tribe, hence He is a Hebrew / Jew, as the terms mean the same thing, a person descended from one of the sons of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham. 1st chapter of Matthew's Gospel shows this. He is also King of the Jews, too.

  • @aelwyn82 jesus said when he returns again people will say o lord we prophesy and heal and banish demons in your name and he will say I DO NOT KNOW YOU DEPART FROM ME becuase your traditions have deceived you as another quote jesus said salvation is through the JEWS you either adhere to the full teachings of christ or burn in sulfur with muhmmad the pope and all those who did not leave the beasts of this earth your church has only survived becuase you countinue it as a cultural tradtion

  • @aelwyn82 do yu guys keep gods holy day of sabbath? do you adhere to the law of the old testament or see the point of jesus message ? im not agasint you persee rather im warning you of the corrupted church which you call the catholic chruch its a dwelling place for demons

  • looking for a video of an underground coptic church in Cairo. If anyone has it please send it

  • GOD BLESS South Sudan,,

  • Hey hey U all, U r trying to insult the holy Coptic Orthodox that has been instituted on solid faith of the apostles & their teachings and upon the precious blood of the martyrs who have relied upon God to save them rather than carry swords and the God's earthly kingdom.

And yes it is the same christian coptic orthodox church that teaches holy & sacred teachings rather than encouraging polygamy and breastfeeding for adults.

I guess anyone should think twice before daring to post or say a word

  • An Italian who lives in Cairo told me that it was a good thing that the Arabs invaded Egypt, because the Copts would have been wiped out. So the Arabs saved the Coptic community.

Any Copts want to respond to that?

  • @LibertasVideos wiped out by who???

  • @LibertasVideos The arabs are the reason why Egypt is just like every other islamic country today...us Coptcs are suffering daily in Egypt. And as politically incorrect this sounds...muslims have a slight tendency to lie. As a result the truth has been obscured for many

  • how can i get the background music? can anybody tell me? i'm really interested by the trisagion hymn at the background..

  • Do Christians know what sacred message the Quran delivers to Muslims?

Even the so-called moderate Muslims don’t know the true message of Quran

If they had studied the Quran, they would either become extremists or abandon it.

There is no room for such kinds as 'moderate' Muslims in Islam.

Burning the Quran is not new in Islam. Their 3rd Caliph and the son-in-law of Muhammad, Othman, had burned the 6 out of 7 versions of the Quran, while compiling the version that exist today. (faithfreedom.o r g)

  • God Bless the Coptic Church!

  • @zivago444 We need to remember that the Eastern Church is much older than the Western, and unlike the Western, never relied on secular power.

  • It's like looking through a family album. God bless my worldwide family :o) -- children of God.

  • +++Rejoyce All Christian brethren, Even Mohammad Predicted the END of Islam.

    Sahih Muslim,Book 001, Number 0271:

    "...the Messenger of Allah(pbuh) Observed:

Verily islam started as something Strange and it would again Revert(to its old position) of being Strange just as it started, and it would RECEDE between the two mosques just as the SERPENT Crawls back into its Hole. "...AMEN!

Truly 'What goes Up must come Down', applies to All False Religions & Cults.

    God is on the move

  • Quel est ce beau chant qui accompagne la video? On croirait du grec...

    Très belle video,merci!

  • @graceinmay and @bishoyibrahim A friend taught me how to sing the Trisagion in Greek...so I knew it was greek and very excited when I heard it. I now can sing along with the whole thing. It makes me very happy. :)

  • @ck1n2 that is great! must be great to be able to sing in the old languages, mate.

  • We love you. Nice video. Our brother and sister from coptic church. Mimi from Ethiopian Orthodox

  • the Coptic sounds almost like Greek! why is that? is it Greek they are singing, or Coptic?

  • Hey there, your correct, this particular hymn is actually in Greek, you will find that along with Coptic a lot of Greek is used in Coptic services.

  • @bishoyibrahim thank you! that is helpful brother, thank you.

  • @graceinmay the Greek language is very simular to coptic, they use many words from coptic language. this is Coptic though

  • Very nice video.

  • A persucuted Church and people God bless and protect you all

  • @IslamicTerd all christians are persecuted one way or another in the past present of future its apart of being a christian for before the copts suffered christ suffered first and that we must all bare our cross TOGETHER as a family and in gods kingdom there will be no orthodoxy of chritianity or coptic or anything just the union of the children of god ( sons and daughters of god ) and our creator

  • Greeting to our Coptic brothers, this is a very wonderful video

    Thanks,

    In Christ,

    Tsega Ze_Ab from Ethiopia

  • How can I have this music???

  • At 28 seconds is Abouna Bishoi of Pittsburgh!

Glory to God and may he protect the Coptic Church amid persecution and tribulation. He is always with us.

  • God bless the coptic church, God bless all the Christians out there, and those who are not Christian oh Lord, let it be our duty to let them know who you are. Have mercy upon us all. Amen. Pray for my weaknesses

  • Christos Anesti- Christ is Risen!

the trisagion you use is very similar to ours from the byzantine usage (greek and slavic churches)- "Agios o Theos, Agios Ischyros, Agios Athanatos eleison imas"

*(Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us)

    thank you- beautiful video

  • Beautiful video.

    Glory to Jesus Christ.

  • planset333's comment about 1 Timothy 4 is inappropriate and heretical. 1 Timoth 4 has always been understood to address heretics who command people not to eat certain foods or to marry because both acts are unholy, evil, or to be shunned and not partaken of with thanksgiving.

1Timothy4 is not in any way talking about the Church holding fasts and asking its followers to consecrate fasts for Church Seasons, neither is this verse addressing remaining unmarried for voluntary monastic orders.

  • The text shows (forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods)

Dont add, dont take away from what it says... Copts, and Roman Catholics both forbid marriage and command to abstain from foods.

  • that is not entirely true. i cannot speak for Coptics, but in the Catholic Church priests can marry. it is only in the Latin (roman) rite that a vow of celibacy is enforced as a discipline. In the Ukrainian (eastern) rite priests can marry as well as the other rites. as well there are no forbidden foods in the Catholic Church. We abstain from meat on Fridays as a penance to God. But even that is a discipline not a complete prohibition. If you want to eat meat on Friday, then do a good work.

  • wow i didnt know that. as a protestant i used to always believe that catholic priests couldnt get married. what about the scandal with the miami priest?..was it because he was latin rite?..

  • yes it was. in the eastern Catholic Churches it's permissable to marry before ordination. but after you are not allowed to remarry if your wife passes away etc. as well, it is assumed that married clergy can have as much sex as they like. it is actually heavily regulated in the eastern Churches. no relations 24 hours before mass etc. the Miami incident was because as a Latin priest. he made a vow to GOD to be celebate and broke it. but the secular world thinks vows to GOD don't matter; only sex.

  • Therefore to appoint bishops are are already unmarried, they choose them from the ranks of monks, who already have proven that they have a calling to live this lifestyle.

    4) The Copts do not choose people to be bishops and then tell them that they are forbidden to marry. Monks, by definition are living a celebate life.

  • 1) The Copts tell those who have voluntarily chosen to live a life of of celebacy to continue in their calling and supports them.

    2) Monks have voluntarily chosen to live a life of of celebacy, in accordance with Christ's teaching that those who can accept such a life style to accept it.

    3) Like St. Paul, the Coptic Church agrees that a man who is unmarried worries only about God's affairs and how to please him so they prefer the church supervisors (bishops) to be unmarried.

  • It doesnt matter if they make the "choice"...whats wicked is that the Coptic CHURCH Forbids it... (1 Tim 4:1-3)

its like saying, (You want the job, you cant be married)

  • "FORBIDDING TO MARRY" in 1 TIM 4 is condemning heretics like the gnostics who teach that matter, food, and marriage is inherently evil. The verse has nothing to do with fasting or vows of celebacy or orders for the bishopric or patrirachate or monasticism.

You are misapplying the verse in a foreign way that is unorthodox. None of the Early Church canons, apostles, or church Fathers ever interpreted this verse in the heretical wayyou do below then or for the last 2000 years.

  • the Coptic church forbids marriage for their Pope and bishops. According to 1 Timothy 4:1-3 this is in accord with the doctrines of demons.

  • The churs does not forbid anyone from marrying. Those who choose to live a celebate life do so of their own accord, from their ranks of such monks, bishops are chosen.

    Our Lord Jesus says:

"Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Matthew 19:11-13

  • 37But the man who has settled the matter in his own mind, who is under no compulsion but has control over his own will, and who has made up his mind not to marry the virgin—this man also does the right thing. 38So then, he who marries the virgin does right, but he who does not marry her does even better. 1Corinthians7:37-38

The Church has also taught that Marriage is a Holy Sacrament and that there are those who consecrate themselves for God's service, reaming virginal. This is Orthodoxy.

  • 1Timonty4 is not speaking about celebacy, it is speaking about those who teach that the Sacrament of Matrimony is unholy. This is how this verse has ALWAYS been understood, but the Holy Orthodox Church since the time it was written.

  • Comment removed

  • The Copts (and ALL ORTHODOX) do not forbid marriage.

The Copts opts promote marriage as it is a holy sacrament. The Copts encourage those who have dedicated their lives to a life of celebacy and Church service to maintain that lifestyle if they have vowed to keep it, as in the case of monks. And come of these are appropriately then selected to be ordained bishops

  • please edify me my brother in christ. are all orthadox churches in communion with each other?..i.e greeks, copts, syriac, antioch,oriental?..ive heard. and what is the relationship between the copts and catholics.

  • the Oriental Orthodox and Catholic churches recognize each other's Christologies as being essentially orthodox. i am not sure if they recognize one another's sacrements.

the Eastern Orthodox (Greek, Russian, etc.) and Oriental Orthodox (Coptic, Syriac, Armenian, etc.) do not recognize each other's sacrements, but there is ongoing dialogue between all three (RC, EO, OO).

  • what sacrements dont they recognise, i heard all orthodox churches worshiped the same.

  • what i have *heard* from the Orthodox is that an EO can not take communion in an OO church.

the OO can take communion at a RC church (at least some of the OO churches are ok with this) but a RC can not take the eucharist at an OO church.

  • @graceinmay

    WHAT?!

  • @tksmurf unfortunatly the Eastern Orthodox (Greek, Russian, etc.) and the Oriental Orthodox (Coptic, Syriac, Armenian, etc.) are not in communion with each other for very small diffrences, but they are in communion with in themselves... meanin that the syrian, the coptic and the armanian are in communion together despite the language. as for the the relationship between the copts and catholics, it has lots of simularities and many diffrences, The Orthodox church was established ages before

  • @ithinkurweak thanks for the information brother. i knew the orthodox church and the oriental church broke of even before the schism but i thought they still worshiped the same seeing as though egypt is so close to greece and the byzantine empire.

  • @ithinkurweak thats the problem people dont truly belive in jesus if they allow these differences to seperate us christians " IM A GREEK OTHRODOX, IM A COPTIC, IM A LATIVIAN ORTHODOX, IM A RUSSIAN ORTHODOX do you see where im going with this? all pride and selfish motives to see whos cultural chrisianity is best and then when somone from outside your race tries to join your church it is discouraged and people will rarely mix with them or talk with them ive seen it first hand

  • much better for you to start careing of where you headed to...

  • I am catholic. My family visited coptic church, when haveing holliday in Egypt. And we love you. God bless you all. Bring light for Egypt :)

  • Re: planset333 below:

The Coptic Orthodox Church has existed since St. Mark the Apostle and Martyr brought Christianity to Egypt in the middle of the 1st Century and the Christian Faith has been preserved by her in the middle east from then until today, unchanged. The grace of God guiding that Orthodox Christian Church and the mircales continually in her until this day testify of her Christian Orthodoxy, and the Holiness

  • re: the ignorant statement by Planset333:

It is very easily argued that, on the contrary to your statement, anything that purposely opposes the doctrines of the Coptic Orthodox Church leads to hell, for She is the Altar to the Lord in the Midst of the Land of Egypt, and the Pillar for Him at its border, as prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah. It is through her that God says, "blessed is Egypt, my people".

  • It is through the Coptic Orthodox Church that great Saints like St. Athanasius and St. Cyril defended the Orthodox Christian faith against heresies like the Nestorian and Arian heresies and preserved the original faith without error or change.

The Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt is indeed, Orthodox, that is straight, original and correct.

Any faith less than the Orthodox Christian fait is... not Orthodox... not complete.... not correct.

Coptic Church also gave the world monasticism

  • Excellent adaptation in English of a "Trisagion" = Thrice Holy Hymn

    HAgios o Theos

    HAgios Ischyros

    HAgios Athanatos

    Eleison Hemas

Doxa Patri kai HYio kai HAgio Pneumati

Kai nyn kai aei kai eis tous aiovnas ton aionon. Amin.

To Greek "musicologists" = Copts HOLD on to their traditional chanting, WHEREVER they may be on the globe, where as we have COMPLETELY devastated ours through "research" and Simokaraïtic EXTRATERRESTRIAL IDIOSYNCRATISM .

    Hagios is 3 syllables (not 2) = Ha-gi-os

    EXCELLENT!

  • do non coptic people watching this video like it?

    i love it..bravo

  • @fostofina I love it. I'm a Latin...but suddenly have a great attraction to the Coptic Rite.

  • @fostofina I have watched it about 20 times in 4 days. THe people are beautiful, and their devotion screams "Here am I, send me!"

  • Forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't the Coptic church in communion with the Antiochian Church as well?

  • Yes. The Oriental Orthodox communion comprises six groups: Coptic Orthodox, Syriac Orthodox (under Patriarch of Antioch), Ethiopian Orthodox, Eritrean Orthodox, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (India) and Armenian Apostolic churches. We are all in communion with one another, but God-willing, the entire Orthodox Church will be united again.

  • One day all Orthodox will love each other and be united in Christ. This would be very good.

  • u mean christians..right?

  • No, I mean Jewish Orthodox :)

Of course I mean Christians. What is Orthodox is a matter of what is "straight" in matters of understanding the faith.

When the Churches that are Orthodox finally see eye to eye, it will become much easier to recognize what needs to be healed with the Church of Rome, but thats not going to happen for a long while, I dont think.

  • Nice video, but disappointed to see that we have English, Greek mixed with Coptic and no Arabic...

  • we already hear it in church..let non coptic hear it here at least

  • Hi I'm not Coptic, but I love it....I listen to it almost everyday.

  • are you guys in communion with Constantanople?

  • I think they are in communion just with Alexandria, if they are non-chalcedonian coptic (with the papa Shenouda III)

  • No,we are in communion with Alexandria founded by st.Mark under the pope and patriach of all Alexandria Pope Shenouda the third however the only differnece between Copts and Greeks is that they believe christs humanity and divinity is seperate while the Copts beleive it was united. They are almost in communion if this happens the only church that would need to unite with the Orthodox church is the Catholic church

  • the first agios, in which languages is it?

  • Orthodox Jesus church, Orthodox Jesus home.

  • beatiful! - orthodox from sweden

The is a nice coptic church in Midsommarkransen here, I enjoy visiting it!

  • The music is the trisagon "Holy God" by Youth Choir St Marks Coptic Orthodox Church in Fiji....

  • God bless this who put this together.i really would appriciate it if anyone can tell me which orthodox team sings this

  • is this song played in a coptic church?

  • yes it is sung in every mass. it is called the trisagon or "the three holies"

Holy God who was born of the virgin. Holy God who was crusified for our sins. Holy God who arose from the dead and ascended to the heavens.

  • yeah but in aracbic

  • God or man cannot be draw by human bare hand, lol!

  • jesus can be drawn.

  • zebrasw7>>

    jesus can be drawn.

    >Not just u draw it, u worship him, than start to make statue of Jesus. It is forbidden to worshiping an idol, something that like the creation of God, human is the createion of God and what Jesus look like?HUman..Plus,for what spoem of the west making fun of Jesus by his movie?? Even insult Jesus. That is why Islam forbidden to draw the face of all the prophets or God.

  • truer than the roman devils
