To clear this up the 182 was available with a cup handling pack and a cup spoiler pack. The 182 cup was a different car again. It wasn't stripped right out like the 172 cup it just had less extras and weighed 20kgs less which made it a tiny bit quicker and more nimble. The video is confusing but many have been right by saying that the driving position is uncomfortable but the ride is comfortable. Renault have always been good at making their hot hatches ride the bumps and not crash over them.

I drive Clio 2003 1.6 110bhp. Its not much power, BUT it weights 1070kg. Unbelievably fast at corners, and its great fun to drive. It actually accelerates well! Not slow at all. I like the 182 too!

When he said it was uncomfortable, I think he mean the poor range of seat adjustment and high noise levels, rather than the ride comfort, which somehow is better on the lowered stiffend "cup" set up.

Well, you got your numbers and units right, I guess that's something.

But it seems that your knowledge of physics and... 'talk' aren't up to date.

Firstly, it's 'Torque', secondly, it matters less and less at higher and higher speeds.

Power is what overcomes the increased resistance encountered at speed.

Torque is what you need to get your lardy Golf off the line (a low ratio can give you that torque at the wheel but isn't practical in context), power is what makes it go fast.
