Elliottmarx - Thank you for posting. Don't listen to these pricks that make comments. I'll take the poor fidelity to get a hint of the vibe of this live version of a great tune. The first half is pretty forgivable.
Actually, the low range distortion on your clip is not half as bad as the high frequency range distortion on some youtube vids (the kind that hurts).
@martykate 3 years ago, Youtube was new technology. I know that if I had been in a city where Ray did not play, I would be grateful for any clip. But that was 3 years ago, now cameras sound better and every single concert is recorded by any number of would be bootleggers. If this was from last night, I wouldn't have posted something of this quality, knowing that someone else would post something better. However, this is one of the few documents from Ray's show at the Wiltern 3.5 years ago.
@martykate I'm sorry that you do not find the quality of the video acceptable. I would have thought rule number one would have had something to do with violating international laws, or acceptable use. According to you, well recorded Taliban recruitment videos would be a better addition to this site than a poorly recorded rock clip. If you look at my profile you will see that I hardly have a compulsion to post everything. I was simply trying to share a nice moment. This was posted 3 years ago.
@martykate I agree the sound quality is poor. I wanted to share this moment with Ray Davies' fans who were unable to attend the performance in Los Angeles. There was a time in my life when I relished every clip I could get my teenaged hands on. You should hear some of the cassette bootlegs I paid for. Even so, they meant a great deal to me. I am sorry to have wasted your time, but others have seemed to appreciate the post.
Sorry about the sync! It works fine on my camera and computer. The sound is also overwhelming. I'll work on it for future posts. Enjoy as is, if you can.
dang this video is old!!

This is actually my top favorite Kinks song of all time, although I prefer Dave's vocals on it.

Song (Dave's vocal version) all over TV in a stupid advert. Brilliant Sixties rebel nonconformist spirit.
