I went to a game in Columbus last year to watch the Blackhawks and we had so many blackhawk fans there that we got everyone cheering and it is something that really makes you proud to be an American. you just have to experience it. Great patriotic support. Something I'd like to see, though, is that especially in playoff games in Canada anytime they are singing "O' Canada", sometimes the performer stops, lifts his/her hands or microphone up and lets the crowd sing a section on their own. Probably one of the cooler things to watch in an opening ceremony like this and it would be awesome to see Americans do that with the Star-Spangled Banner.

Great patriotic support. Something I'd like to see, though, is that especially in playoff games in Canada anytime they are singing "O' Canada", sometimes the performer stops, lifts his/her hands or microphone up and lets the crowd sing a section on their own. Probably one of the cooler things to watch in an opening ceremony like this and it would be awesome to see Americans do that with the Star-Spangled Banner.

@Gphazor Yes, even I can admit, that Vancouvers rendition of the Canadian anthem is fantastic. Two real rivals on the ice, and in anthems. I know a lot of Canadians disrespect the U.S. for political reasons, etc. - but a great many of us love your game of hockey, and even in Chicago (ya know with those bandwagon fans that erupted even before the Hawks were good lol), I can pick out spots where Americans are singing the words to "Oh Canada"

@edinburgh96 I've been in the United States Marine Corps for just under 7 years now. Two combat deployments to Iraq, leaving my family behind with the uncertainty of coming home. I am currently being medically retired, as we speak, for injuries sustained during my 2006 deployment. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, liberal! I enjoyed being in Iraq, because I knew that I was helping keep my family and friends safe, as well as people like you, by eliminating the terrorist threat. THANK YOU!
