It's just for seniors. Don't get me wrong, I like it... but a 23-year-old walking around with a cane is about as subtle as a the same person walking around with a katana. It's out-of-place unless you look like you would carry a cane normally... so, don't act like this is practical self-defense for everyone when it's not practical for everyone to carry a cane around.
@Aramis2000 i know but that doesnt mean u are not going to use it in the future. it's better to start learning as u young then try to learn it when u are in ur 70 or 80 cus trust me by that time u won;t learn it at all
A Campbell Cane could be an interesting senior defense device. I was asked last year about designing a cane that could be functional, artistic and defensive. The latest design fits this description. I was involved in martial arts in the 60's..now I am way over 60. I would not want to be on the other end.
@loosifur Do you have any idea how many cultures have cane fighting systems? Hint, look to your right...see all those videos? I see right now Phillipine, Chinese, Irish and hybrids. None of those systems have anything to do with La Canne. BTW, I love and practice La Canne and Savate. My Great Grandfather was an instructor in France. Duh.
just an advertisement? "Geting into this un tuched market"? Its just about money for this people. Buy my book, buy my instructional dvd, go to my seminar... all cost money! If you realy wanted to help people you would give away free lessons here on youtube, like master wong or Choson do. And how can you become a certified instructor just by going to one single seminar? Most you not realy know this kind of thing before you start to teach it? In the future I will give out free lessons! shame on y!
