I grew up in Massachusetts (despise The Kennedys to this day!). My brother has mental retardation and autism. We didn't have a lobotomy performed on him. Today I went to Safeway to buy some chowder, and right in front of the store in the disabled parking was a Saturn Sky, yes people, a sports car in the disables parking. There was a woman around her 40 with a kick me dog in her arms, and her husband walked out with a bunch of groceries. He looked perfectly fine to me, and so did she, but apparently there is still something wrong with them.
I just thought I'd share that with everyone.

1) I agree, but why is that "often not a good sign"?
2) I'd be more worried if someone was completely stubborn and never changed their mind on anything regardless of anything that could change their mind. Obama seems to have been pretty steady for the majority of the time, unlike John McCain who couldn't decide how to run his campaign from 1 week to the next.
3) He stumbles on that video, but that's the least composed I've ever seen him, and the only time I've seen him trip up.
4) Fair enough.

I grew up in Massachusetts (despise The Kennedys to this day!). My brother has mental retardation and autism. We didn't have a lobotomy performed on him. As a matter of he was the first person with his disabilities to be placed in a "regular" job in the community. He has since retired but maintains his own apartment pretty much independently of us.

Seems that saying anything that could be linked to Palin is not PC (using the word disabled, lipstick, etc.) Rangel should have used a different word. But he's not running for office. You are seriously uninformed. The whole thing has been reported on major news stations. John McCain even responded in anger that he was a victim of a terrible smear campaign. Do the research, there is no video because there was no video to be taken. Campaigners called up voters and asked them that question, how can there be a YouTube video? You're a McCain supporter and you don't even know why he lost South Carolina in 2000. Is YouTube your only news source? YouTube wasn't even around in 2000.

The whole world is scared to see an extreme religious fanatic like Sarah Palin as VP, especially when we think about that something bad could happen to the old man McCain. Religious fanatic Bush already caused enough harm. No need for a double-Bush!
Of course nobody should call her disabled no matter if she has a disabled child or not. That's not the way to deal with really disabled but very nice people. It's unfair to compare them with Sarah Palin! They don't deserve that!
