People are silly, Overeem is only 256lbs, he used to fight at 205lbs years ago. That's only a 50lbs difference and back then he was cutting weight to get to 205lbs for the weigh ins. He was walking around at 220-225lbs at the time so in reality he has only put on 35lbs at most and did it over 5 or 6 years. His first fight at HW against Werdum he weighed in at something like 230lbs if I remember correctly, it's not like he shot up overnight. He steadily put it on each year.

People are silly, Overeem is only 256lbs, he used to fight at 205lbs years ago. That's only a 50lbs difference and back then he was cutting weight to get to 205lbs for the weigh ins. He was walking around at 220-225lbs at the time so in reality he has only put on 35lbs at most and did it over 5 or 6 years. His first fight at HW against Werdum he weighed in at something like 230lbs if I remember correctly, it's not like he shot up overnight. He steadily put it on each year.

While I like their propensity to fight and to "bring it", this isn't a schoolyard brawl. This is a sanctioned bout in a professional league now.
