It is hard to listen to another performance after you listen to Horowitz' one. I like very much some other contemporaneous pianists, like Nelson Freire and Marta Argerisch. But, when I come back to Horowitz, it seems that I "adjusted" my piano listening...He is the Master!

Horowitz was very old here, and the heroic polonaise is very difficult to play. Mistakes included not many players can play it as well as him, just the top players, and I´m not going to say the names that everybody know.

@bachboy111 there are mistakes. horowitz was well known for his extra notes here and there. audiences came to hear his interpretations - mistakes and all.

I've always wanted to say that one of the most important things I see Horowitz do is manage his position at the keyboard exactly where he wants to be and makes the shift at a precise, time, plus he looks at notes he's jumping to before he makes the jump. These seemingly simple skills have gone a very long way to improve my own playing in a very short period of time. I believe he has included these motions intentionally into his actual performance. Like anything, start slowly and learn to add it.
