@ivncdo0809 yes even a squier it will sound great but not awesome because you get a sweet sound out of high quality pickups and the guitar fretboard wood, so a cheap guitar would sound great and everything, but not like a high profile Ibanez or jackson

Im thinking of start play on amplitube or guitar rig , more or less sell my real rig , got a bunch of pedals and a real 100watt all tube amp today, I play most hard rock but uses both clean and heavy overdrive now, think Im gonna keep my wah pedal tho, but can I do this? play live and in studio whith my guitars wired in to a laptop? ... I mean, Is the tone good enoth in these programs? please give me your opinion :) thx !
how do you even set this thing up? mine just squeels! on both windows driver and the soundcard driver. do I need a expensive sound card for this to work? right now I only have the already built in the motherboard
Dude I have a problem... I can not make the clicking noises dissapear... I have a 2.2 Ghz laptop, 2gb Ram, so I guess is not the problem... My audio interfase is a Line6UX2, well hope you can give me any advice.. I mess wih the sampling rates and buffer sizes in little increments but nothing... The clicking noises are there with high gain and clean settings... I was about to buy the StompIO but after dealing with this noises I dont know ...
reformat your computer. A lot of the times, other drivers or programs can interfere with necessary resources needed by your DAW. You should only be running DAW software on any computer you decide is your DAW. Next think is take your interface and use it on another computer. You will be able to see if there is a problem with your I/O.

I have amplitude metal and it's great but when im not doing anything on the guitar i get this horrible noise, sound card maybe? im using realtech ac97 i downloaded asio4all and it did help a little.
anyone have any idea why its making this awfull noise when im not playing?
jsctthll - I have amplitude metal and it's great but when im not doing anything on the guitar i get this horrible noise, sound card maybe? im using realtech ac97 i downloaded asio4all and it did help a little.
Yep. You guessed it right. It's likely your onboard sound. The Realtech AC97 has horrid signal-to-noise specs. Anything would be an improvement. A pro level sound card like an M-Audio would be best, but expensive. But an X-Fi or X-Fi Titanium would work nicely.
Also, work with the noise gate in Amplitube. Se if you can't get it to clean up you signal a bit. Of course, if it's the on board sound itself, then the noisegate won't help much.
why don`t you use a USBInterface? Most of them work as external soundcards.I use a Line6 Toneport UX1 and it works great, it even comes with PODFarm, a software similar to Amplitube.
just a question about amplitube... do you know if i would be able to plug my guitar into the mic input plug at the back of my comp instead of buying a usb device?
I've tried that with limited success. it depends on the quality of your sound card. Full duplex is better. amplitude is cool but you need a fairly hot computer (mucho ram, fast sound card...etc)
hey what preset are u using, if its a custom one would u be able to provide a link ur send it by email... I'd be verrryyy thankfull. Anyway great tone and playing
can you tell me some things about this programm?can you play guitar without amp?do you use a cable to connect guitar to pc soundcart or amp to soundcard?
It's quite simple actually - Easiest thing i've found is to buy a USB device, Like the Tonport GX for example, that goes from USB to a Guitar/ 1/4" plugin, and just run the guitar to that. then you mess with the options on the program - It's really that simple. Sounds amazing too, no need for an amp or cab or anything - Very nice for recording.
hey man pretty sweet! I like the blues its ballsy. The movement in the music,it's great. you don't see much of that in pop rock lately. And Good tone I'm totally amazed theres guitarists out there in famous bands that sound like electric turds... all in all pretty good. but at the end work your legeto it's quick but not very smooth. Keep kicken ass bud your doing great!!!
Brilliant stuff. Well done.

You need "Asio4All v2 " drivers.
It's free, just google it.
RcKarazan 2 years ago
I Have the Asio4All v2 installed and it still just squeels:( what sound card do you have?
satjathamma 2 years ago
You need a guitar-to-pc interface connector, they roughly like £20-40.
