@gittar1 Very True! I'm tired of all the fans saying Nokie is better.. or Gerry is better.. THEY ARE BOTH THE BEST in my BOOK! ..otherwise The Ventures would'nt of had either of them as LEAD Guitarists! GERRY has his style, and NOKIE has his style. They are both ledgends! Nokie can't play Gerry's style! And Gerry can't play Nokie's style. They are both King Of Guitar as the Japanese puts it.

Nothing more to be said on that subject!

@TheVenturesForever Everyone has the right to say whatever they want on whatever subject.

Personally, when talking about The Ventures, I prefer Nokie, just because I like his style and I think it match and enhance The Ventures' style nicely. I also like Gerry, but I prefer his solo albums in that case. And I still wonder why he changed the spelling of his name; in the 1970's it was always Jerry McGee, what was wrong with that?
