I have nothing but respect for our women and men who have and are serving in our military. Ive been trying to join, but a previous charge i have is preventing me from going in and everytime I see a video like this it makes me sad and proud at the same time knowing that there are people willing to laydown their lives for a cause greater then them. I am a PROUD widow of a Viet Nam Vet. He was a proud man and loved his country. Loved being in the service. I would change nothing because that would change him. I would never do that.
This song speaks so well of what my husband, Larry Long, went through. He had a rough childhood, a number of tests through his 64 years, but he loved the services. He was an LSO in our US Navy on board the USS Kity Halk in 1964-1968. He was a good friend and husband. He was one of those people who you knew when he walked into a room...as much you now know when he is not there. Now he sits in heaven waiting for me. That time can not come soon enough....

Both of my grandpas fought in WWII. I guess you can call us a miliatry family, because every generation one or more hear the call and join in the armed forces. My Grandpa Rose just passed away. I held up pretty good, until they handed my mom the folded up flag. I lost it. It's such a prideful moment, but incredibly sad. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Had an uncle in law who fought with Merrill's Marauders. Several cousins that went to Nam, one came home wounded. I am a member of the US Military. I have recently returned from Iraq where I worked side by side with British, Iraqi and other countries forces. All of us were fighting for the same cause, to protect the innocent people of Iraq and teach them to defend themselves and their country. This song speaks so well of what my husband, Larry Long, went through. He had a rough childhood, a number of tests through his 64 years, but he loved the services. He was an LSO in our US Navy on board the USS Kity Halk in 1964-1968. He was a good friend and husband. He was one of those people who you knew when he walked into a room...as much you now know when he is not there. Now he sits in heaven waiting for me. That time can not come soon enough....

Both of my grandpas fought in WWII. I guess you can call us a miliatry family, because every generation one or more hear the call and join in the armed forces. My Grandpa Rose just passed away. I held up pretty good, until they handed my mom the folded up flag. I lost it. It's such a prideful moment, but incredibly sad. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Dad fought in WW2 in the Pacific under MacArthur, was there to hoist the Colors on a telegraph pole under sniper fire when they re-took "The Rock". Had an uncle in law who fought with Merrill's Marauders. Several cousins that went to Nam, one came home wounded. I am a member of the US Military. I have recently returned from Iraq where I worked side by side with British, Iraqi and other countries forces. All of us were fighting for the same cause, to protect the innocent people of Iraq and teach them to defend themselves and their country. I strongly believe that all people are entitled to there opinion and to argue with someone who is firmly set in there beliefs is pointless. I ask no thanks for the job I do and expect not to get any.
