Euclid got pretty bad and is still getting worse, I still concider it home even though talking a walk down the road is taking a chance of being jumped in some areas.
I grew up on 220th. I used to get extra Plain Dealer papers from the paper box inside the bus stop. We all used to go and play on the swings behind Mary Mavac's. Anyone remember Bill Dempsey. He was a Euclid Police Officer that was the "crossing guard" at the corner. Very nice man. Wish I had a good picture of the bus stop.
OMG - I REMEMBER BILL DEMPSEY ---I WORKED AT CITY LOAN - 22560 LSB for many years - he walked the beat - he would stop in every day twice a day - say hello and move on. Remember any of the old Euclid Transit bus drivers - Jerry Bailey? I lived at Indian Hills Apt. 1975-then 1549 E. 196 for several yrs. took the bus from Indian Hills down to LSB. Great years.
urban renewal. Euclid 2010 is East Cleveland 1990. Give it 5 years it will be really nasty. Can't even walk your dog unarmed.
