How do you know it's true? Don't you know that Homer was the one who brought this battle to peoples knowledge? He was the only one who knew about it, and Homer was a story teller, that's what he did for a living. So are you telling me that you believe in a war that only one man saw and talked about? Troy is a fantasy, there is no such thing, historians don't even know exactly where it was.

Russell Crowe is one of the greatest actors that has ever lived. Brad Pitt is good, but he was terrible in this film. Anybody who thinks Pitt is a better actor than Russell, doesn't know sh!t about Acting.

The whole story is indeed a myth, yet the myth was based on an actual war between the Greece and Troy. Since this story was written a century after this war ended, it's not historicaly accurate.
But it's a fact that the writers in Ancient Greece where brilliant, therefor there was absolutly no reason to go adjusting the story whatsoever...
(lot's of people grew up with these myths, no wonder they think that the movie sucks)
