Ppl in HK really shouldn't complain because at least the meals at university cafeterias are less expensive. Here in Toronto, Canada, uni cafeterias are exactly where they rob you at, because students have no choice if they don't want to leave the campus.
E.g. foot-long assorted submarine sandwich sells for (close to) $8 CDN, off campus less than $6.5 CDN.
the canteen system in hong kong universities are pretty bad. the food is not of decent quality or even healthy in most cases. not really related to the story but yeah.
from what i've seen its significantly better. it was amazing when i visited princeton. nyu was pretty good as was guelph. my university is also pretty good, theres restaurants, a vegetarian restaurant besides from your usual pizza/burgers canteen food and salads, soups, wraps, waffles, pancakes, sandwiches pasta. theres unhealthy food, but also a healthy alternative choice

Yeah, but getting student loan is much easier in Canada. The minimum wage is also more than double that of HK's.
