To those who haven't gone to Machu Picchu...well you can't really describe the feeling once you step in the ruins but...it just simply takes your breath away, and I believe that's what Hiram Bingham said and wrote in his books when he discovered Machu Picchu. As myself I cried in tears because it's the most beautiful and magnificent place I've ever seen and hopefully I can go again. I am American but I'm also proud to be peruvian as well because of my grandfather and my father.
Che’s radicalism was spawned from living in Guatemala during the 1953 overthrow of Jacobo Arbenz by the CIA at the behest of the United Fruit Company (those lovely capitalists who liked to kill brown Central Americans so Americans could have cheap bananas).
Che saw the brutality of U$ Imperialism up close, and gave his life in Bolivia to defeat it. Che fought 3 U.S.-backed dictators during his life (Batista, Mobutu, Barrientos).
History may not ever see such a brave man again. VIVA CHE!!
I hate this movie and i love this movie. I find it empowering, uplifting, and enjoyable, but it also built up a false idol who i later realized was a Stalinist murderer and psycho. I was totally crushed. But, if i put aside who these people became and how they went totally bloodthirsty and insane, it was a wonderful and amazing movie. and it does not hurt that the guy who plays ernesto is a drop-dead gorgeous hunk... ;)
@cerabella13 I think you need to watch the movie and read more on Che. He obviously hated capitalism because he thought it was the cause of poverty, and bad life style in the Americas, and during this time the U.S. were in the Cold War against Soviet Union, the U.S. overthrew many democratic governments and placed dictators that would side with the U.S. During times of war, you have to be cold hearted to succeed.
@solimiansky well germans did experiment with it,but that just science i dont think they were hoping 100 years later minorities in america would use it to destroy their lives. crack on the other-hand,i dont know who made that maybe drug cartels to increase sales i have no idea.
Che had originally planned on heading to the united states on this journey. the place in which he described to his mother as "the best place to make money".
I want to go there for myself Machu Picchu looks amazing
