long flight but there must be enough to pass the time on a Boeing triple seven

Raromania, To say Air NZ "refused" to have any of their Canadian Flight Attendants to the inaugural flight is rubbish. Nice of you to think that any of your fellow workers who achieve something are ass kissers...very sad.

Strange - Air NZ used to fly Auckland to Vancouver in the early 1990's... and I think Air Canada used to do a flightat some stage as well (there is a photo of a Canadian plane on the wall at AKL)...

Perhaps I was a bit harsh in my previous comment, however I still stand behind my original opinion. Do you think that the inaugural flight to Beijing will be crewed by Kiwis? No, that honour will go to the Chinese based flight attendants for "cultural" reasons. Same as the inaugural Shanghai flights were. Are Canadian passengers not deserving of the same coutesy?

I dont think its any disrespect to canadian flight attendants, its just as a kiwi airline and the fact NZ and Canadians are both a european culture it prob was not as important. Not sure what the deal with Beijing will be- If i was makin the calls I would have had canadians as well, great people. If im ever flyin one of your flights ill say hi lol =)

What a shame Air New Zealand chose not to highlight the diversity of their crew by refusing to have any of their 3 Canadian flight attendants on their inaugural flight. (I am one of them) Instead, full of management ass kissers!

what did you expect? Its a big deal and millions of dollars involved of course the big cheeses would all take preferance- I wouldnt expect kiwis to be on an Air Canada flight in the same situation either
