  • pause at 0:47

  • melted

  • you can see good old leon russell back there playin too, legends

  • John wrote very deep lyrics, but I don't think he had a whole lot over George the late bloomer. He wanted to improve his writing skills and he did so...brilliantly. There are more of George's songs being played by various artists than John's or Paul's, from what I have been hearing!

  • @oldies4dino You sound like shit.

  • @oldies4dino you look like shit and cant play shit so just shut the fuck up!

  • @oldies4dino avalon carpet cleaning can go fuck themselves!

  • THE BEATLES FOR EVER! SOMETHING I LOVE YOU!

  • 240p we meet again

  • Leon Russell.... bad ass!

  • uuuups 0:40 - 0:53 LOL but what ever, come on this is a big song!!!

  • OMG it almost looks as if George is flipping someone off when he strokes his hair after singing ''something in the way she smiles''. I wonder if it's the thought of Eric Clapton and that old tart Patti Boyd aka dough bag cheating tosser.

  • Interesting that Paty Boyd inspired George to write this magic song and Eric Clapton to write wonderful tonight (my all time fav love song) she must have been some woman !!! not a bad choice of partners either.

  • The bass players not even close to what Paul played on the record. You think that if you are going to play with one of The Beatles you would get your part down like it`s suppose to sound.

  • O' man that's nice.

  • note perfect he is a beatle after all

  • at 1:09... leon russell!

  • @CruxVera haha..that's right..but its okay..i love his smile,..

  • You get the feeling he was really enjoying Bangladesh because it was a chance to get so many friends together and jam. Particularly Clapton's leads. (Clapton was strung out that week and missed all rehearsals, but George thought he was brilliant at Bangladesh and so did the critics.)

  • Personally, George Harrison is my favorite Beatle.

  • Youtube! why did you did this? :( THIS IS SOMETHING - SELENA GOMEZ?! OH! COME ON! George Harrison's Music must be with real music suggestions, like eric clapton or Paul Mccartney, But wtf? Selena gomez? :( You got to be kidding me :(

  • GH looks like Jesus?

  • @Sinagitarius no, Jesus looks like George Harrison

  • Frank Sinatra said he thought this was the greatest love song ever written..........

  • @thedeadbeatdsg Frank Sinatra is a friggin genius

  • @thedeadbeatdsg Frank Sinatra was right!

  • @thedeadbeatdsg To bad he didn't give George the credit. It went to Lennon and McCartney.....

  • @DrRummel In the 80's he started giving George the credit after he realized

  • @thedeadbeatdsg DOT DOT DOT DOT DOT DOT DOT DOT

What the fuck happened with the wolrd? Everyone get to comeback to listen this kind music again

  • He played the solo wrong LMFAO. :P

  • @Indigolunch I don't think he played it wrong... he played another solo, just that. You may know that at that point he was fed up with The Beatle's songs, he just played those in that concert because it was for charity and he knew the audience was waiting for it, but he wasn't very keen...

  • @Indigolunch go fuck ur ass dude! its his fuckin song n its his fuckin wish how he wants d solo to be.. i bet u cant even play n compose like him...

  • man i love this song

  • Genial!! Deixará saudades!!!

  • Great song! George wrote a few real keepers (as well as some duds), but it really was John and Paul's band mostly as far as the lyrics go. That's alright, though. Some guys can just crank great songs out and others take more time. George grew tremendously from the start of the Beatles to the end to his later career. No need to rip Paul and John for keeping him down. They were pretty damn good critics of what was good, bad, and great. Love all 4 for different reasons.

  • Hard to believe George was only 28 here.

  • John and Paul were astounded by "Something"..

  • @germanOperaSinger it just disappoints me that Lennon/McCartney had a much stronger relationship than any of the band members. They only understand each other better than they understood Starr and Harrison. They would always reject Harrison's songs and would either revise or completely change the song.

  • @aaronbesana1 George did write some great songs. To say he wrote better than John and or Paul is not quite true. However, George was still not honored by John and Paul as a contributor to The Beatles albums as he should of been ! Well, maybe they thought he would " steal their thunder " to some extent. He was kinda the " odd man out " who played lead or rythem guitar and fit neatly between " Them " and Ringo !

  • Of course it's not a Lennon/Mccartney song. Lennon and McCartney could never write anything as good as this. =P George Harrison was the best songwriter of the 4 by far and one of the greatest songwriters of all time.

  • @GermanOperaSinger You speak the truth!

  • @GermanOperaSinger This is a great song and george is my favorite beatle, but lennon/mccartney is the best song writing team that ever existed, you can't deny it.

  • @GermanOperaSinger haha, that's ridiculous, but at least ur a decent troll

  • @GermanOperaSinger dude, no true, he was an amazing songwriter, dont get me wrong, but george learned everything from lennon and mccartney, read a book

  • @GermanOperaSinger george was good but pual ang john wrote more songs

  • @mrjosedogface Quality over quantity.

  • @GermanOperaSinger The Beatles were the strongest voice of a generation of many strong, talented voices. Nature set them apart for a reason. It is so we do not just think they were just another great band, so we look closer and listen a little better. When we do, we will discover that they were prophets. Go to truthcontest (dot) com and open The Present, then read the section about The Beatles.

  • @GermanOperaSinger As much as I love George, he can never write anything as good as John. Maybe Paul, but not John.

  • @GermanOperaSinger So true! For George, it was quality over quantity (at least for his Beatle years).

  • @GermanOperaSinger

George Harrison owes a lot of his song writing ability to Northern ltd.(LenMac). It took him eight years to write his first chart topping song, and he used a model that Lennon in particular had created. To suggest that he was the best songwriter of the time shows that you know nothing of the history of the Beatles. I agree that his is a fantastic songwriter, and I absolutely adore his songs, but without the other three his late sixties/seventies hits would not exist.

  • @GermanOperaSinger that's wrong dude cmon. i love george and he's without a doubt one of the best songwriters in history but he's not better than lennon and mccartney. they wrote most of the beatles hits and they just kept writing songs without stopping like they were just pulling them out of their ass. and also for every amazing song that george had, there was like 10 that were just dumb(speaking about his solo career not the beatles because every beatles song is amazing)

  • @GermanOperaSinger Lennon and McCartney were insanely good, both being in my opinion technically "better" songwriters than Harrison, although Harrison was much more consistant. He never really had a bad song with the Beatles. Lennon's solo career destroys Harrison and McCartney's a million times over, however, which sort of puts Harrison down a bit.

It feels weird to say that Harrison was my 3rd favorite songwriter in the group, but he's like top 50 completely so meh.

  • @SirPwn4lot Lennon's solo career was not that great- Two Virgins- avant garde- to quote George, more like avant garde a clue; Wedding Album- WTF; John Lennon/POB good album but depressing; Imagine- good album; Some time in New York- forgotten by many and should remain so; Mind Games- not great; Walls and Bridges- his only other good album; Rock and Roll- hit and miss and finally Starting Over. George's writing is as good, if not far better than Lennon in the 1970s.

  • @TheLeftielikePaul Don't you mean Double Fantasy? Although i agree that Johns albums are not always great, i have to say George's albums are very hit and miss too. It's all down to opinion but i don't see why it matters. We've got all the albums to listen to so we should just enjoy them all and stop constantly comparing them

  • @GermanOperaSinger I LOVE Harrison a lot. He was an AMAZING person, guitar player, song writer ... but there is no WAY you can say he was a better writer then Lennon & McCartney during the period of their lives when they were Beatles. He wrote a few of my personal favorites (Something, Here Comes the Sun, I Me Mine, I Need You, While My guitar ...etc) but Lennon/McCartney wrote a pile of songs that were better then George's. If anything Lennon was the best writer. Best Beatle? No one knows!!!!

  • @GermanOperaSinger Yeah, "Don't Bother Me" is MUCH better than ANYTHING John and Paul wrote at the time...

  • @GermanOperaSinger okay calm down. this is a tremendous song and artistic achievement for anyone, but the medley on the same album proves that george still lagged slightly. He was the 3rd best songwriter in the beatles. How you can be so ignorant and just discard all tthe beatles achievements(which were enforced by M&L) because you like this song is disrespectful not only to them but the entire human race that bought into their ideology and culture

  • @GermanOperaSinger AMEN!!! George forever!!

  • @GermanOperaSinger Because Lennon and McCartney belittle the 4 beatles are great and best of music does not have exisit than you comments very bad if you're a true fan of the Beatles were wrong the achievement was all the Beatles personally care so these comments -.-!

  • @karenzita639 what the fuck does any of what you just said mean? is that all one sentence? haha damnnn.

  • beatles are the best band that ever lived! rest in peace, George

  • meanderer... that so sad :( poor george he must of been sooooooo heartbrokern :(

    bless him

  • You will be forever missed, George Harrison! ღ♥ღ♥

  • greatest LEnnon/McCartney song ever, in Sinatra words

  • @jonnytheoasisfan George Harrison wrote this not Lennon/McCartney

  • @guitar1297 I know. I said what Sinatra said :D

  • i love the keyboards at 1:42 alot !

  • Excellent performance! never heard it before. Merci

  • I heard that John Lennon turned up backstage to this concert and asked George when he was going to be on, to which George replied 'fuck of-!'

Good comeback considering how Lennon & McCartney kept him back of picture for so many years.

  • @atesta69 Actually, George had asked John to play at the concert, and John agreed. But George told John "no Yoko". So John decided it would be easier to screw an old friend than to piss off the missus. So he went back to London instead.

He'd also asked Paul to play, but Paul felt that The Beatles had just broken up the year before...why get together again (so soon). And also because of the bad feelings about the whole break-up of the band and troubles within Apple...

  • I LOVE YOU

this has so much soul, i'm just plain hypnotized

  • GEORGE I'LL LOVE YOU ETERNALLY ♥

  • Does anyone have the 'Concert For George' version downloaded? Scabby Warner Bros. pulled it from You Tube.

  • How skinny does he need to be?

R.I.P George, you were my favorite Beatle

  • most beautiful love song ever

  • I remember lipsynching to this song on 4th grade along with my three other classmates using badminton rackets as "guitars". :)

MY VERY FAVORITE BEATLE: GREAT GEORGE HARRISON... :)

  • He was a bit behind John and Paul in the "incredible" rankings, but George WAS incredible along with John and Paul for HIS songs.... Here Comes The Sun :-), Something :-), and my own indulgence "Set On You" :-) ... RIP George and thank you... Lovely guy..
