According to the movie credits, this traditional song, arranged for the film by Erich Bender was sung by Kinderchor des NDR. I believe the music is catalogued by Universal International Music, B.V.

Ich denke ebenfalls, dass dieses Video einen KZ-Transport wiedergibt. Hingegen gelingt es mir dennoch nicht, deshalb die Süßigkeit und jene Anrührigkeit, die bei jedem Hören in mir entsteht, mit Traurigkeit überdecken zu lassen ... Im Gegenteil: Wirklich schwer würde mein Herz dann erst werden, wenn es sich gewahr darüber würde, das der Mensch dazu fähig ist, aus einer der schlimmsten Zeiten auch noch den allerkleinsten Hauch von Menschlichkeit zu entfernen.

Vielen Dank für die Erklärung. Aber auch das ist sehr traurig, denn viele der Kinder haben ihre Eltern nicht wiedergesehen, wenn diese in Deutschland geblieben sind.

Wie schön es wäre, wenn kein Kind auf der Welt seine Eltern verliert. Aber das wird wohl ein Wunsch bleiben.

This is an awesome documentary which details an oft forgotten part of the war. For Canadians who watch CBC News, the well-known reporter, Joe Schelsinger, was one of the children saved by the Kindertransport.

A friend recommended I watch this movie, though I hadn't heard anything about it until now. Even though this is a very short clip, thanks for the glimpse. I'll have to see if the local video store might have this available for rental.
