  • @tyumedia 'The Dawning' by Hagalaz Runedance

  • Heil heil,. ostrogothic and visigothic folk

  • There was also a research, that showed that the genetic of Croatian people is very, very similar to the genetics of Norwegian people and Sweeds.... I still can't understand how could that be possible... and during the WW2, A.Hitler and H. Himmler had an opinion that Croats aren't pure slavic nation, they thought that we are quite different than the other slavic countries.... that's one of the reasons, why did he give us freedom and our own country....

  • @HeliBoy16 Croats belong to the German family

    HEIL MEIN BRUDER

  • @TheodorikTheGoth that's right.... we speak a slavic language, but te name Hrvat (Croat) has nothing to do with slavic laguages, and even there are some customs that aren't typical for slavic nations...There is a theory that Croats descent of Illyrian, Slavic, Iranian and Germanic origins.... The only common thing that we are sharing with other slavic nations is language...that's all....

I would really like to know the real storyabout the origin of Croats....

  • hey...is it possible that Croats have ostrogoth's origins??? cause I've read about that somewhere on the internet?? I know that some Germanic tribes arrived to the territory of nowadays Croatia....

    Greetings from Croatia...

  • wtf? Theodoric the Great lead an invasion against the Gothic King Odacer on the behest of the Eastern Emperor.......he overthrow Odacer and is credited with re-establishing the Roman laws, Institutions and culture that Odacer had done away with when he originally conqured Rome.....if Anything Theodoric was a hero to every true Roman living under Odacers rule.......fact checking is frustrating but necessary mate.

  • @DinkiDiDude

You're absolutely right about Theodoric. Ironically the Eastern Romans under Justinian who destroyed Ostrogothic Italy managed to destroy the institutions he and his descendants protected, making Italy less Roman, clearing the way for the brutal Lombards to invade and prolonging the dark ages.

  • @mst3k4evur cheers man, just shits me off that people put crap like this onto youtube and people take it as fact, I mean starting this crappy video by stating that Theodoric lead an invasion against the late Roman Empire is like saying that Churchill lead an invasion to conquer France and wipe out the Jews......

  • @DinkiDiDude

    Good analogy!

Attitudes towards the Goths tend to be shaped by the nature of later barbarians like the Lombards, Magyars and Vikings. People think the Goths loved pillaging, were fiercely Pagan, were primitive and sought to destroy Rome. In truth, both nations loved Rome, converted to Christianity faster than the Romans and were based on farming. The Visigoths should be remembered as abused refugees while the Ostrogoths should be remembered as protectors of Roman culture.

  • @mst3k4evur

    Wisi(ancient germanic)=Wise.

In Iberia the Visigoths were not considered barbarians, they were loved by the roman-keltic populations, even despite the brutal acts against each others, and that they were arrians(followers of arrius)after the moorish conquest, the christian monarchs in Asturias proclaimed themselves inheritors of the Visigoths, and wanted to reestablish that realm.

Their intentions were however corrupted by catholicism, and the Visigothic culture is dead in Iberia.

  • @StellandBlood

My point is the Visigoths and Ostrogoths are remembered TODAY as barbarians, not in their time. The treatment of the Goths by the Roman Empire during the 400's was far more barbaric than the Gothic invasion.

  • @DinkiDiDude I added the account of this by Edward Peters ('History of the Lombards') in the accompanying text to this video. Either we believe scholar Edward Peters.... or we decide to call him a complete liar and instead believe this thing >>> dinkididude. I will leave it up to all of you to decide that.

  • @DinkiDiDude According to your logic, the U.S. Army should be heros to the Nez Perce because they allowed some of them to live if they surrendered. Theodoric was Roman educated, so naturally he wasn't going to allow anarchy.

  • @DinkiDiDude Odacer wasnt goth but we arent sure of what germanic background he was tough. Theodoric was a Goth and that we are sure.

  • @DinkiDiDude Odoacer was like Theodoric he respect and protected Roman instuticions and civilization the full name of Odoacer was Flavius Odoacer he was also Roman influeced

  • Interesting soundtrack is this music somehow inspired by some ancient germanic folklore?

  • Good video good pics and music thanks

  • what is with that retarded game with all the little soldiers etc.

why does everyone use that for video?

is that the only video game ever made that had a bunch of soldiers in it.

  • Jesus said gates of the hell will not overcome the church that he was building.Catholics branded gothic christians as heretics by publicaly branding in the concil of nicae that they taught Jesus was a created being, when in reality they only taught Jesus was subordinate to almighty father-God,which was 100% biblical.this is the way catholics brand others as liars and mass murder them.Catholics branded other christians like manichaens, bogomils, waldensians and finally protestans heretics

  • Those christians who oppsed the idolatrous practice of 'intercession to saints' of roman catholicism were branded heretics and were mass murdered. They included aryan christians ,donatists, manichaens, paulicians, bogomils, cathars, waldensians and finally protestants.Roman catholic religion invented councils like that of nicae, trent etc to brand true christians as heretics and thus they hoped that they could removetrue church that Jesus was/is bulding from the face of the earth. But they failed

  • Ostrogoths(eastern goths) and visgoths(western goths) were aryan christians.Who were the aryan christians? The roman 'christians' of 4th century integrated their old idolatry into chrisianity by the 'sweet' name 'intercession to saints'.Thus they just changed the names of their old roman idols and gave them christian names and continued to pray to them. Many true christians at that time opposed this practice(just like protestants continue to do so in this era).

  • I think the spelling is "Arian Christian."

  • @alrok777 wrong, there is only one difference between aryan and catholic christians. Catholics believed and still do in the holy trinity, god, jesus and the holy ghost. Aryan christians did not believe jesus was the son of god.

  • Its barbarians such as the Goths are the reason why human civilization lags behind the advanced level it could have been today. By simply destroying all that was Rome after conquest they brought about the Dark Ages and stagnation in sciences and education. Europe was then divided into duchies of illiterate and uneducated kings fighting over land. We are only so lucky to have experienced the Renaissance to get a leg back on technology and society.

  • The Romans stamped out all that was Etruria, which was far more advanced than they were. They demolished all the architecture, literature, culture, spirituality, and even the very memory of the Etruscans. I think there's an eerie parallel between that and modern America. The Etruscans were like the Americans, and the Romans were like the Globalists, erasing their civilization and sovereignty. ALL for imperial power.

  • Lets not forget the complete and utter destruction of Carthage, merely because that highly advanced Phoenician civilization had the sheer audacity to desire sovereignty. Same for Egypt and others.

  • I dissagree on the comparison but yes they stamped out the etruria in italy, greece, and carthage.

  • no in absolute in the case of the visigoths!! the visigoths were "more romans than the romans" they developed a great civilization ,continuing roman culture in Spain

  • Well Rome collapsed within itself due to its own expansionist grandiose, it was decayed and declining long before the barbarians held the iron crown.

  • Great Video!

    Oden be with you.

  • Thank you. Hail Wotan.
