The Helghast didn't lose the war. All Visari's death did was piss them off. Now the ISA has to deal with the entire bloodthirsty vengeful helghast army. If you want my opinion, I think Rico personally lost the war for the ISA by shooting Visari.

i've finished K2 yesterday..never played K1 before, now it brings more sense to me bout the storyline after finding out K1 storyline..I've got to say, K2 is one of the best shooter game at the moment!!

(Reply please) was wondering i have killzone 2 im i kinda already know but i thought i would ask anyways i never played the 1st one and i have had the 2nd killzone sense it came out but i haven't played it cause i don't want to play it without knowing the story my question is do both the games have a fitting story line or does it not matter what one i play 1st(please reply)

You dont really need to have played the first game but it would really help if you did. The point is, the helgan attack on Vetka failed, now you have to counter attack and attack helgan.

i've finished K2 yesterday..never played K1 before, now it brings more sense to me bout the storyline after finding out K1 storyline..I've got to say, K2 is one of the best shooter game at the moment!!

Actually, I did. I'm a reviewer for a website called Arena51. I had some problems with my capture equipment.
But for the moment I'm busy capturing every level, intro, ending of Killzone 2. And it will all be on my Youtube profile asap. I can't give an exact date, because I can't show anything specific for the moment or Sony would kill me. ;)

Kilzone 2 is going to obliterate the competition. Killzone 1 is a average game but Killzone 2 is going to be ten times better. Strong multiplayer, intense graphics, and a killer story.

no..killzone was not a Halo killer at all..look at the sells Deferece and besides its on ps2 anyway..so its not a halo killer its a nice fps for ps2 owners who cant play the many better xbox fps..i have a ps2 still so im stuck in time..im gonna get this for xmas and black also cause i need to beef up my fps collection..i only have 1 lol...but really this was and is not a halo killer..alot of people never even knew this one Existed

killzone selled welll....not as well as halo sure but the ones who hyped it were the fanboys and since their were more hlao fanboys rather than killzone fanboys the game suffered from lots of lies made up about it, there were problems but not as meny that the halo fanboys accused it of

To be honest i like both Halo and Killzone. Rather than it being a 'Halo Beater' it was essentially the Halo of the PS2.
Halo will always command a much better position as the original revolutionized how people interacted with FPS's.
Anyway, like on of your said, the fact that they're not even on the same console means that there can be no real competition other than that made up by the fanboys.
Two good games, two good consoles.

Killzone 1 is the best FPS on PS2....it was EPIC graphs on PS2...good story on FPS...fast playing...i give this 94% ....AI isnt best :(

Since KZ2 is comming out soon I decided to buy the first one. And it's awesome, the graphics are bad but that's expected, the gameplay and multiplayer is much better than Halo 2. The only reason it was not a Halo killer is because Halo was the only good game in the Xbox back then and what were people supposed to buy other than halo?
PS2 had tons of games better than Halo which is why PS2 users didn't concentrate in one game to raise sells, heck KZ is better than most games this generation.

It wasn't a Halo killer because it wasn't a halo killer-- simple as that. Halo did a fantastic job making the Xbox a serious contender for consoles.
The PS2 has a solid game collection, the best one yet, but Killzone is not better than most games this gen (at least provide examples)

Alright stop acting stupid, would it help you if I told you that you could find sometihng you lost were you lost it? Halo did a good job but not a good job enough, the Xbox is dead right now, the PS2 is the vivest console right now out of all the next-gen consoles next to Wii. Killzone is better than Haze, Banjo, Lair, most Wii games and Xbox.

Buddy, it was you that was using faulty logic. You reasoned that the only good game on the xbox was halo because people couldnt buy anything other than halo. That makes no sense. I said that Killzone wasnt the halo killer simply because it wasn't: there's no need to reiterate the points: bad graphics, poor gameplay, bad AI, etc.
Killzone was a terrible game-- sure, there are some games it beats this gen but that is subjective opinion

The PS2 is also dying, the majority of gamers are full in effect to the current generation. The PS2 sales are strong, yes, but it's ludicrous to say that it's beating out the competition in terms of modern relevancy and software development. It's difficult to get specific with a 500 limit post. You should know that in any argument u need to give the opposition the benefit of the doubt and ask to elaborate if need be. There's no need to start insulting someone about it. U said that Killzone is better than the whole Xbox console. That is pure subjectivity. It's an opinion that can be disproven through sales records and critical reception of Killzone and Xbox.

Halo put the Xbox on the map and helped with Xbox Sales tremendously. It's also the most sold game on the Xbox. The Xbox furthermore is far from dead as it has an active community, upwards of 10 million users (in relevancy to the 14 million+ Xbox subscribers).
