Wow. Really? You're really going to get upset over something as trivial as a billboard add. Grow up, billboards such as these are everywhere. If you don't like it don't look at it. Don't get in such a pissy mood about it because you don't agree with. Who's going to think it's "inappropriate" at first sight, huh. Really?
I had to replay a segment of that 4 times to be sure she was saying "gang rape" . There are much more important things to focus on than a billboard on a building. Instead of wasting time and energy fighting a billboard, they should try to educate children, not shield them. A parent walks his or her 12 year old down the street, they pass the billboard, the child asks about it, and the parent teaches him about inappropriate public image when they get home. It's as simple as that!
I'm sorry, but most of the time little kids would be far more interested in your shoes than some massive billboard. It's preteens and teenagers and even 20 somethings where development of identity and sexual identity is occurring that this can be the most damaging.
What pisses me off about this is the hypocrisy; when you have large amounts of money and influence in the form of a fortune 500 company you can get away with anything. You can break any laws, run ads that border on child pornography, curtail people's freedom of speech, put detrimental contaminants in food, lie about anything you want, whatever you want; just keep adding money to lady justice's scales and eventually they'll weigh in your favor. Disgusting but true.
@tiredofphailspelling I hear what you're saying and agree but would also like to add that it doesn't seem to help that a lot of these women seem to like being little more than sexual playthings of little value; that disgusts me on the same level as this near pornographic ad.
Thanks guys before you did this piece I would have never been able to see this ad. Now it's emblazoned into my brain forever. I think it's hot. I like it, but I don't have kids so it doesn't really bother me. I'd like to think if I had kids I'd teach them their values and not worry about the media. Sex is out there 24/7 and it's not going away peeps! Values come from home not from images on a billboard.

Too bad average size waist of Jeans in America area 34+ for women, and 37+ for men..... I might understand is Calvin Klein only sells Jeans under waist size of 32 for men, and under 27 for women these ads could be somewhat accurate but.... meh.
Some people need to just loosen up. They don't know if the people in this ad are minors, this ad has nothing to do with rape, and most of all, none of it matters. Our soldiers are dying over in the Middle East at this moment and we are talking about some stupid campaign. We should get our priorities straight.
Dr. Burman or whatever her name is is a moron. Comparing it to gang rape? Way to lose the argument instantly by saying something idiotic. I agree that it's inappropriate to put in the middle of a big city, but it HARDLY depicts gang rape. The girl seems to be having a great time, actually.
im just 11, that ad yeah, is disturbing and is so inapropriate for younger kids up to any age really. but when i look at that... it doesnt seem so special, because my parents have rightly educated me on the subjects of sex, porn, how to avoid it, and stuff. so when i look at this i dont really make a big deal about it. but on a friggin billboard? in front of maybe thousands of little children HELL NO!
this is y so many teenage girls r getting pregnant. they see this and they think, cool i'm gonna go get screwed. and the girl in the pic looks like a complete whore and the fact that there r 3 guys not 1 makes it even worse. any little kid could see this and if i had kids i would NOT want them exposed to this.
everyone remember to read the constitution! then you will know what freedoms you have, dont let the agenda or special interest group tell you whats right or wrong! listen to the constitution if you are a real american! stop letting these groups control you, know who made this country, know what real freedom is. stop being scared of everything! defend freedom by knowing the constitution! wake up, be an american, not a robot!
i dont see whats wrong with this, look up the founding fathers the people who made this country, they had giant orgys all the time lol. shit they wanted ultimate freedom, these people look like 21 or older to me! bermans a sicko!! hello!
people who think this ad is "inappropriate" are further making sex into some bad thing that its not. SEX does sell in the add world JUST because someone looks young doesn't mean they are. i would rather a young looking model than a 14 year old who looks like she's 25. AND! i see no penetration therefor how is this porn? get over it people. stop oppressing sexuality. no wonder we're behind Europe by decades!
Naturally, there is nothing "inappropriate" about sex, we are just brought up to think so, and that is why this AD works. It plays with our suppressed sexual desire and exploits the fact that we are all sexually oppressed. I mean its hilarious. Look at every clothing ad !... Oh yeah, and sexual oppression is the first step to controlling a population.
What a wonderful and original idea. If you don't like the 5 story billboard that sits in your face, don't look at the five story billboard that sits in your face.
Totally inappropriate. Although I don't have problems with it; I mean, whatever makes us happy, but it's way too big, there's no need for that and it is giving the wrong message not so much to teenagers but what about children? They're not even mentally prepare for that kind of stuff and It's just difficult to miss it and for a parent to give guidance on that.
wow the news talk about anything instead of telling the truth about real things or important things who gives a shit about naked ppl on a billboard this is a new time anything happens LMAO
oh please! racy? jeans ads have been "racy" for decades. if america wasn't so hung up on sex, this wouldn't be a big deal at all. "child pornography" indeed, you need to get laid yourself lady. a childrens values should come from the home, not a damn billboard. the media is not to blame for the shortcommings of YOUR failure as a parent. grow up people, and find something relevant to discuss, the economy, health care, homelessness....jeez.
you all need to get a grip on reality you fucking half wits! grow up! if you dont like it - FUCK OFF!

Hm. This add is gaudy and shallow, but I'm not suprised. It saddens me that such a beautiful, intimate act is used to push products.

Maybe religio-ethnic culture makes a difference.
