  • Sweet Ford Push Mower!

  • i could get you some motors for your snapper

  • @CiiGd

cool- sorry I havent replied in so long. what kind of motors?

  • i like that second snapper

  • @CiiGd it is one of my favorites. that old Briggs engine started right up on the 2nd pull of the rope this spring. I also am at a stand still on another one like this(V21), but need to find an engine(and would like to find one like the 4hp on the Snapper you commented on)

  • where you get the Ford from? I'd love to have one of those!

  • my aunt and uncle bought that back in the 80's sometime. I hated it, and I robbed the gas tank, throttle, etc. she has an old Snapper and a long life chain driven mower (both from the 90s)

  • the round green one with the orange engine is neat what is that one?

  • I wish I knew. I've never seen another one, and theres no markings on it(except for the engine, which is a clinton)

  • oh. you should try and get it running that thing is a great classic!

  • I've tried. it's got good compression and good spark

  • what happened to the deere/ those are good mowers, it should have a kawasaki i think!

i like the clinton powered mower thats neat!

  • I think the kawasaki was used on the silver 14sb models. mine was a 12sb. I also saw a 14sb once or twice with a 2cycle Briggs(not very common) I remember when I started mowing lawns with a friend of mine back in '88 til about probly '91 or '92. his dad had a 12sb with a 4hp Briggs(kinda like a max engine but with vertical recoil) but he wouldnt let us use it except at his house. I had 2 self propelled Snappers we used.

  • i hate using pushmowers after i have to mow my grandmas hilly acre of mowable grass with a toro super recycler. she sold the old 60's cubcadet tractor and bought a push mower because she didnt know how to work the tractor when my grandpa died. she really didnt make much sence with that decision!

  • I agree. if it was too big, and you say she didnt know how to use it? did your grandpa have the manual? did you ever use ride it?(sorry if I sound rude or mean)

  • i was young, but yet i was mowing and operating my dads 1979 case 446 garden tractor which is a much bigger machine than the cubcadet my grandpa had. i never got to drive it. my grandma has a bad back i guess and couldent get on and off it. i was volenteered to mower her lawn but still she sold the lawn tractor because "She" didnt know how to use it i think she only touched that push mower

3x since she got it. its been me using it the rest of the time. so i bought a tractor to use there!

  • my grandpa had no paper work on it. and are you kidding it was an early 70's cubcadet, i dont remeber the model but i "Think" it was a 107. it was a hydrostatic and worked just fine. though it didnt get alot of use mowing that yard. my grandpa used the bush hog most of the time. the yard is 30acres and most is now overgrown because i dont have a mower big enough to maintain the field and the trails!

  • do they all run?

  • the first Snapper no, Honda no, whatever that thing is with the red engine no, Garden Mark would if I had the gas tank on it, Moto Boy just needs a head gasket, Snapper yes, Lawnboy yes, Ford no, and obviously the John Deere no. actually, I called it the "Lawn Deere" since it was actually made by Lawnboy.

  • lol sounds like some projects this summer

  • You bet. That ought to get you renewed interest in video cutting. The 1st Snapper I saw at the start of this video is a cute-looking 19" cut unit with a 3 hp B&S engine. The 19" Snapper of the early '80s was also sold with a 2-cycle Tecumseh engine.

  • this one had a 2cycle tecumseh when I got it. I still have most of it
