No one is saying that the seventh day wasn't the sabbath. What we're trying to say is that the sabbath command was not given to adam or anyone before Moses. And the previously mentioned things are some of the reasons why we know it wasn't given to them.

So alarm bells should be ringing when a physical day is given to the Sabbath and laws are set around it. The word sabbath does not appear in the book of Genesis, likewise God said to Noah in Gensis all animals you may eat nothing is with held from you Genesis 9:3 so God finds no offense in eating pigs, camels and rabbits so he commanded Noah and everyone living 1000 years after to eat anything they wanted. GodIsOne777 is right. No where in the book of Genesis does the word for the seventh day(sabbath) appear. There is no verses showing any man keeping the sabbath in the book of Genesis, nor is there a single command to keep the sabbath. None of these show up until the book of Exodus chapter 16. It wouldn't have taken long to say something, but we see nothing.

We also read in Nehemiah 9 that God revealed the sabbath to Moses. I've never found a passage showing otherwise.

Seasons here is the hebrew "mow'ed" or "appointed times" Sabbath is first mow'ed or "appointed time" listed in Leviticus 23. Therefore sabbaths are by the moon.

@Jere616 That's a tough one. One verse that Yahushua says to Jerusalem, about the coming destruction of the city, is this: "And pray that your flight be not in winter, nor on the sabbath day". This indicated that He knew that after His death, burial, and resurrection, that the people of Jerusalem would be keeping the sabbath.

Also, consider this: Nowhere in new testament does it say you are not supposed to marry your first cousin, or have sex with animals. Does that make it OK?

But, in Acts 21:25, James reiterates that the Gentile believers were to observe only 4 things - none of them concern the Sabbath. The debate in Acts 15 reduced their observances to 4 only things. The Apostles have ruled! They loosed the Gentiles from Jewish laws, yet, you want them bound! Reconsider your views!

The apostles knew that these gentiles would get the law becauseas it says in Acts 15: 21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

The Gentiles were expected to get the law when they attended service on the sabbaths. Also, consider this. The letter does not forbid having sex with animals either. Was this Ok?

YHWH's calendar goes by what He created, sun, moon, starts. Ps 104:17" He appointed the moon for season. "  Seasons = Hebrew mo'edim, or appointed times. These are seventh day sabbaths, "moonthly" new moons, and yearly feast days. Gen 1:14 and Lev. 23!.

The day we worship has absolutely nothing to do with our salvation, but Who we worship does.
