Mrs. Meers is suppose to be washed up and defeated in life. This Mrs Meers looks too pretty and young. There is no reason for her to be jealous of the other girls. Also, her performance is too showy. It should be coming from within to make it more real. Nice voice though.

i disagree. mrs meers can be jealous and pretty. She can't go back on the stage (her mug shot was in the paper remember, her career was ruined) No one would want her. She takes it out on them. also i think it should be pretty showy, after all she's proving what a great SHOW person she is. i tink this actress did great.

I also disagree because Meers is supposed to be washed up but not accepting of it so it is neccessary for her to be lively and sour. The tone of voice when she says, "They don't know...they don't know. Sad to be all alone in the world" is without question filled with a bit of jealousy and hatred and Ms. Hope pulls it off wonderfully.

i actually am playing mrs meers at my school for this play. its the first true musical that our school has put on...i hate the girl who plays millie at my school though. but how would you suggest doing the accent? every time i try i always get a cross of a scottish and japanese accent. any suggestions?
