Not bad, has a familiarity about it but at the same time there's enough that's original to make it hard to pin down. The image - the nice suit, the awkward dancing, the "Morrissey goes nerdy" look, could be a winner or something that's best dispensed with - the jury's out on that one. I think for this kind of catchy, 80s feel pop music Alex needs to rope in somebody to help with the production values to make the song more dense with beats and counter harmonies. To stand out, the hook needs to be re-written; it is worth having a clever or memorable line - not, 'turn, turn, turn.'
