  • Holy fuck me running, hot racking with split tails @ Great Mistakes hahahaha fuck I wanna start over.

  • cant wait

  • Why are marine fanboys so ignorant?

  • @MartinJones8484 Life is to precious to not join the forces? It's people like you that are he bitchy type even when they have nothing to bitch about. Joinig the military is the best thin you can do in life. I plan on joinin the navy and advancing to serve in the SEAL teams maybe you should too

  • U Mad other fighting forces of The United States Of America? Marines,Army,Navy,Airforce who gives a shit they all fight for the same team. America wouldnt be where it is now if it wasn't for its navy. We have an excellent airforce. Our army and marines fought for us everywhere especially in WW2 The army in Europe and the Marines in the Pacific and each brought victory in each theater. Come on guys be civil, dont ruin the military for the rest of us that want to join.

  • Crazy how I recognized two of the first classes then (now chiefs) in this video!

  • Im looking to join Navy but the only thing that is holding me back is the Boot Camp.... Anyone care to explain what to expect or how to prepare for it??? I would Appreasited it....

  • @andrey87ish Well I hope you already have your NEC (Naval Enlisted Classification) picked out. That will be what you're employed as in the Navy. Secondly, you should be able to run a mile and 1/2 in under 10 minutes, do 50 pushups and 50 situps in under 2 minutes for each, and tread water in a deep pool for 10 minutes. If you can do these things before reporting to boot camp then you're physically ready. The rest consist of academic tests that you will take weekly from your classes.

  • @andrey87ish Don't join man. It's not that great. Go to college instead. You won't have people jumping down your throat if you do something wrong and you'll be able to do whatever you want when you want.

  • @andrey87ish dont do what cobianrocks21 say. join and it will be the best choice of your life.

  • Easiest bootcamp in the world, you only run on saturdays, and the rest of the time is just like going to school. Cake.

  • @MultiMrCisco Only run on saturdays? Pt Everyday including running except on sundays which is used for holiday routine to go to church and square yourself away.

  • All those damn abbreviations to remember.

  • 3:03 reminds me of the 1st grade.

  • I got goose bumps the entire way through the video, because I can't wait to go through that myself. Should be doing this by the end of 2012. STOKED.

  • People always ask me "what branch should I join?". I always try to steer them to the Navy, or the Air Force because those are the two branches that will give employable skills that will be useful and similar in a civillian profession that you might aspire to, have highly technological occupations, and require high ASVAB scores to qualify for those positions. If you just want to fire guns and kill things, all while taking orders from others then that is what the Marines and Army are for.To each...

  • @coloniaIVU neither. Life is too precious to waste by joining the military. Plus, women will use you as a benefits package.

  • Coming out of high school I wanted to join the Navy because of the opportunity to be an Aircraft Mechanic.I was an Aircraft Mechanic in the Navy, and I was able to test directly for the FAA A&P License when I got out because of the experience clause.Thank you NAVY, I grew up in a poverty stricken immigrant family but because of the Navy I gained a career that I have always been fascinated with since high school.I love working on aircraft and I get paid pretty well to do it. Go NAVY 1996-2000!

  • Meanwhile In Parris Island MCRD

  • i had a philopeno 1st class petty officer as a CO in boot camp, couldn't understand anything he said. lol really great guy with a good sense of humor though.

  • well, i went to RTC in dan diego back in 89. i had a great time. it was easy then.

  • This is a pretty awesome video. Brings back so many memories.

  • Not to mention the way sailors are treated across the road at NCU Great Lakes. Its pathetic and it will just continue to go down hill. The service members from every branch of today are nothing compared to the people that came out of the boot camps from 10 years ago or longer. The military of today would never survive a war like WWII. YN2 Daniel Swanson, US Navy

  • @DanSwanson2010 As a MSgt with almost 25 years of service, I think you are completely off the mark. It is a different world and we had to adjust to it in training. We are getting "raw material" that is far different from what we had 20 years ago, the first thing we have to get rid of is the "entitlement" mindset where everyone gets a trophy for participation, that takes alot of doing. Alot more technological training as well, and we have to do it all in the same timeframe.

  • The Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard have lower numbers when it comes to combat. Most of these members go through their entire career without ever seeing combat. That being said, I have seen other videos, and heard stories from people who recently went through Navy bootcamp and I can honestly say that I am scared for todays Navy. I went through in 2002 and it was so much more difficult. Battlestations is a joke now and this super sailor program that they have implemented is sad.

  • Well first off, we are all part of the same armed forces, we all have our parts to play, and we all play them exactly as we are meant to play them. Yes we all have jets and helicopters, every branch and each branch has pilots who are good and who suck and get their wings pulled. Each boot camp is designed around how that particular branch has to deal with everyday life. 95% of soldiers and marines see combat sometime in there career, so the boot camp they go through is harder.

  • Meanwhile at MCRD San Diego....

  • @oorahUSMCDevildogs marines are awesome. got to give you that. but you would be treading water without the navy to take you around the world. =) love marines, but they are part of the dept of the navy.

  • @neils68 Yes The Mens Dept

  • @Alex03000351 someone posted around here somewhere, that people who truly serve their country don't go around smearing other forces. Yeah, I can understand friendly rivalry, and it's always been there. your a marine, your not half the man of a navy seal. and i'm a navy guy and i'm probably not half the man you are for being a marine. respect to every man and woman who has and is serving in the united states military. thank you for your service.

  • @neils68 Uh Ya Sure!

Try Force RECON MARINE! Dumb Ass! Also you are probably just FAT Sailor acting like a big man here because no one can track you down!

  • @oorahUSMCDevildogs lol i like how marines think their the best while they do 6 month deployments while the army does 15 month deployments.

i laugh at marines since i learned that.

  • @masterkorn The army is spoiled compared to the marines man, so don't even start that. The marines do a hell of a lot better with a hell of a lot less.

  • "First thing we need to do is feed you, three meals a day...because thats what the government says"

That made me lol. Praying for my sailor that just started boot camp last thursday!

  • @shlbymnstrrr They have to give you 3 meals, no provision that they will actually be edible. ;) Congrats on having a sailor in the family, I'm USAF but my dad was career Navy. Keep praying and supporting him, I'm sure he'll do well and make an outstanding contribution to the defense of this great nation. God Bless and take care.

  • Well why compare?, obviously navy is different to army, navy mission is different, i am pretty fine with this boot camp because is more sailor oriented, remember that we are more technical, in the army or marines you are more combat oriented, then why should i have the same boot camp??? just to make you feel a bad ass?? so for me, there is no better, is like compare diesel with gasoline, both are fuel but for a different engine.

  • they have an easy welcoming compared to marines

  • Wow. Obviously Marine and Army basic is harder, but jesus even Air Force makes this crap look like childs play. Bunch of damn girls!

  • @meRyanP It doesnt matter how hard training is,what matters is that they are being trained to serve this country in a way that doesnt always involve guns and heavy artillery

  • @Magmar911 You're an idiot.

  • We all kow that the navy is the stroingest branch cause well basically we have everything jets helies elite special forces our seabees that go to war our boatswain mates EOD we have SAR rescueing mexicans out of water we have the marines we get em to the fight and if it wasnt for us not would the marines be shit and not be first ones in but it woudnt even exist.....not to mention out special forces is the best along with the delta force....so when you compare the navy thiers no comparison...

  • @ARMA365 shut up all branches of the military are great what are you doing? I tell you bitching about who's best there all great out fighting so you can go online and sit on your ass and bitch

  • @ICryWhenICum001 Navy is the best cause it can do anything and everything thier no comparison

  • @ICryWhenICum001 Navy does have the Marines but we dont own them....your not that smart are you?

  • Fucking simple compared to Marines/US Army

  • @ZynusGaming and whats your point

  • i went through in 04'.... brings back memories

  • Comment removed

  • This is laughable compared to Marine Corps recruit training.

  • God they are so fucking chill. Is this a joke? The Navy calls this serious? This is boot camp? Please..

  • @kinuchn they dont yell in front of the camera. are you in the military? are you joining the military? if not, you have NO right at all to comment.

  • they get phone calls before they even get into the actually basic. wow pussy shit mah nigga fa real doe

  • Okay, OBVIOUSLY this video is not going to show everything that happens at Navy basic, just like with EVERY OTHER OFFICIAL VIDEO made by each branch. They still yell in your face and call you a shit head, make you run until you throw up, and all that good nonsense. I would hope you guys would be able to figure that out.

  • what the fuck is this shit... is the navy filled with gays and people that can't speak english?

  • @fatchicksneedloveT00 no thats the army

  • Can't wait 2get in da navy....

  • @23Dreadhead1 learn grammar and English first.

  • wow is this fucking video serious when i went to bootcamp last year it was nothing like this who these guys trying to fool....this is just gonna make some mentally weak retards think they can fly buy training hahahahah noobs

  • @ARMA365 i went through in 04'.... shit was wild the first 2 weeks... i hated my life.. haha

  • these guys killed bin laden xD

  • first petty officer is gay...

  • @lakersfan132 Do ask, Do tell ... It's navy policy baby

  • they don't yell as much compared to USMC boot camp. =/

  • @puppylover569 why should they?

  • SOOO much different than when I went to basic in 1985!

  • the only things that suck is Pdays. everything after that was pretty fun

  • @bayyPiNAY whaaat, p days was the only week we could not get beat lol.

  • Fuckin navy

  • LOOK AT THEY FACE WHEN THEY HAIR GETTING CUT LMAO

  • im goin to the navy i cant wait

  • Lmao this is pitiful!!

  • hahaha this is funny

  • lol my little sister could do this

  • @thatdevildog1992 tell that to the seals eod swcc the fighter pilots sar and the sumberine operaters....these guys killed bin laden bitch all the other branches wish they were tough like us!

  • DAM! im shipping out to the navy boot camp soon and seeing this makes me nervous, lol, but i know this will benefit in the end and it will make me stronger physically and mentally, if i can make it through boot camp, i can make it anywhere

  • @metalbeast763 I feel for you. I'm glad I don't have to do boot camp over again. Of my 9 weeks at boot camp the first 4 were the hardest. From 5th week to graduation it was a piece of cake for me.

  • i dont give a fuck what your name is lol your just a number

  • @UnrealSnipa I away I agree with your statment. One thing I learned at boot camp was never forget your social security number. lol

  • Good lord

  • O you Navy guys glad to have ya as our corpsmen lol

  • @Marine062011 After boot camp I went to Hospital Corps School, and became a Corpsman. I did treat a few of you Marines during my tenure as a Hospital Corpsman.

  • Did he just say go hard in the paint? XD

  • its private joker at 12:07, lol

  • @theeasgeek11 haha its funny that you said that because i seen private pyle at 3:32! lmao

  • 8 years ago??? Try 26 years ago. However "bad" it may have been for you 8 meager years ago, ours was way worse.

  • I cant wait go in GO NAVY

  • @zarda999 thats nothing theres a chief where I'm at that made chief in 6 1/2

  • I love how the corpsman is a HM1 at 6 years and the BM1 is at 15 years

  • Haha, I recognize that room in the beginning, when they're telling whey they want to join. That's the USO at Chicago O'Hare. Small world.

  • HOLY SHIT this looks wayyy to relaxed for me....the coast guard was way more hardcore looking....

  • do not miss this...it gets better is how you have to look at it. A school is amazing! the fleet is even better!

  • I'm a female. Once I go through basic training, I expect (and want) intimidating instructors. I want to be yelled at, pushed to my limits, at the very least metally, the SECOND I step onto that bus. I expect structure, detail, discipline, rules... I expect to piss my pants the first night. I also expect more disciplined counter parts, with my equals having at the very least straight backs, eyes ahead... and so on. I did not see so much of that from this video, so I hope this is watered down.

  • @moroaicaa Some of the RDCs are intimidating, but the yelling doesn't get too bad. When I was there it was mainly just a lot of cussing at us, but no getting in our faces or anything. And as far as your peers go...there's gonna be some that will screw it up for everyone else and think they're badass and don't have to listen to the chiefs and petty officers. The first night isn't as bad as everyone makes it sound.

  • @quezcatol speak for your own country. Stfu about other countries that you don't know..

  • in the swedish army, they have now have a "ethical and tolerance course" its all political correct now in the army.

especially in the european. they dont make soldiers anymore over here - cant speak for the UK though and Russia, Spetnaz paid us a visit and atleast they where great at skiing and taking shit even at -30.

  • co-ed barracks?

  • I can't wait to go.

  • We gotta feed you! 3 meals a day! thats what the gov't says!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!! That explains everything. The nice and gental Navy. I wish I joined the Navy instead of the AF. Wow that looks like kindergarden compared to our BMT.

  • "take your time and get it right"?!?!? WTF. NEVERRRRRR did you hear such words in AF BMT.

  • man this is way easier than the AF basic and that still wasnt that bad. alot of random yelling tho

  • Is the Petty Officer Filipino?

  • I graduated from Bootcamp two years ago, and this is very similar how they did it for us. It varies though. However this is the introduction to bootcamp in a nutshell.

  • listen up and learn to follow orders this is the what you are taught that and working in stressful conditions.

    ex Navy Vietnam Vet

  • i love this my son went thru boot camp beginning dec 09 suffering from empty nest this brought me some relief to be apart of what he was doing. thanks

  • No aye sir? yes sir? wtf is this shit... thank god i joined the marines!

  • @TwistedProductionsX first thank you for your service. now i love the razzing done between marines n navy its all in fun i would like to believe. i have a jarhead and sailor for kids< along with many military branches in my family. however lets not just be ugly about it. we all make up the us armed forces and each branch serves an important role. i leave you with another thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • @TwistedProductionsX Nah dude. They would get pissed if we called them sir. We have to call them according to their rank. My brother was surprised that we weren't forced to call them sir too.

  • For god's sake, don't call a senior chief chief. Just... Don't do it.

  • This is not an accurate portrayal. This is toned down for the cameras.

  • I will be there May 7th!

  • @xero925 May 9th!

  • Comment removed

  • @999blowme leave you stankin nigga what the fuck you thinkin nigga

  • 12:39 go hard in the motherfuckin paint nigga

  • What is this? Back in the summer of 01 we got yelled at all through the night, the following day. We didn't even get sleep till the 2nd night there. When we went to chow we had to march to Galley 928. Now the galleys are right in the berthing. Navy boot camp looks nothing like what I went through. I think they toned it down for the cameras.

  • can't wait to be there, i will be there in august. :D

  • Are the Marines the only ones who yell at the recruits anymore?

  • @DialgaMarine3 yea :)

  • @DialgaMarine3 Coast guard.

  • @DialgaMarine3 Hey man i just got out of boot camp a month ago. that video was soft. they cant look like assholes on camera. they yell from when you step on the bus till the day you graduate and use fuck and every variation of the word every other word. so please dont let the video fool you. and we dont have those stupid belts anymore they give us backpacks and nalgene bottles now. have a good one man. ETSA Hasty

  • @jjmax12341 That's good to know. I guess Marines simply simply don't give a shit whether a camera is filming them or not. They act like assholes regardless.

  • @DialgaMarine3 army yells i went before OIF1 tho , these are always toned down for cameras and marines turn it up for cameras .......dont believe the hype cuz Army reserves supply companies were ahead of the USMC lead element in OIF1 .... IE jessica Lynch

  • @SNaRF66666666 no buddy i disagree with that one. HAha toned up for the cameras? its not as bad as people think overall but compared to the other branches its the hardest. theres a reason marines dont have to go to any other boot camp when done with service

  • @MrDuobros yet the lead marine element in war is days behind the army supply lines? boot camp is nothing in any military career only a boot or civilian or a do nothing would make a statement like that. YOUR UNIT IS WHERE REAL TRAINING TAKES PLACE nig nog

  • @SNaRF66666666 The Marines tone it down for cameras too trust me. I cant even count how many times ive been choked and kicked by a DI

  • @KitamusPrime yup yup ive know marines i served in 3rd ID ....lies

  • @SNaRF66666666 whats lies

  • @DialgaMarine3 the Marines and the Seals

  • @DialgaMarine3 Oh don't be fooled. They toned it down for this video. They yell. Constantly.

  • @DialgaMarine3 the RTC in the Navy yell just as much just this video shows a calm version

  • @DialgaMarine3 army does too. perhaps not as hardcore or agressive as marines but they make themselves heard xp

  • @DialgaMarine3 nah, every branch yells...Marines just dont give a fuck about camera's ;)

  • @DialgaMarine3 Drill Sergeants yell and shout just as much as a DI.It's just no that DS dont screech and scream like a DI would. My DSs' got on my ass alot ,but DS will make you and discipline you.Marine Corps is a very traditional force as to reasons why boot camp DI's act thier way,Army at one point was like this but BCT changed because were not 'in theatre' conidition and mos.All in all army, marine corps, air force, navy will make you also that was the reception not training

  • @DialgaMarine3 They yell at all branches. Most of these videos are "sanitized" to keep potential recruits from being scared.

  • @ejpbaylon It's sad that all the branches have become a bunch of yelling A holes. Yes discipline is necessary but excessive yelling just pisses everyone off.

  • @DialgaMarine3 Lol, nah, every branch yells at the recruits. But they don't want future recruits or family members seeing that ;P

  • @DialgaMarine3 thats what im saying the petty officers are soft

  • Really ??? -- wow-- I was in Boot back in 87 and um--wow

  • wow, im just going to assume they toned it WAY down for the cameras. that wasnt jack shit compared to the way we were treated just 8 years ago. we had RDCs in our faces the second we were off the damn bus. dont judge Navy bootcamp by this video, it is no picnic in the park at least it wasnt in my day.

  • @derek58622003 hey i just got out a month ago. they are still in our faces and they LOVE to YELL. that video is soft. ETSA out.

  • @derek58622003 navy boot camp aint shit stop bullshitting

  • @derek58622003 The Navy has changed many of it's policies regarding training. A lot has changed in 8 years.

  • @derek58622003 These days, these kids have serious passion joining the NAVY to serve our country instead of pitching tents and sleeping in sleeping bags on Wall Street.

  • @derek58622003 Well when I went to "Great Mistakes" life was different then when you were there. Frankly I think it was easier. My company just had 1 CPO and 1 2nd class in charge of us. When I was there it wasn't co -ed either. I think Non co- ed better as there are less distractions. Boot Camp was only 9 weeks long. From "Service Week" on it was easy as shit. I got out of a lot of shit others had to do. I don't think I'd like boot camp today.

  • looooooooooooool

  • my high school football camp was tougher than this

  • @covert47931 cov ert lets see you do this stuff then

    headstrong

  • this is a joke lol

  • Where is all the yelling I went through? .-.

  • This shit looks like a walk in the park.... Wtf

  • moral of the story, shave before boot camp

  • woohoo!!! P-days soooo long ago!!!!!!!!!!!!! these RDC"s are def putting on a show though for the camera. Every other word out of my cheifs mouth was a curse word lol. but bootcamp was fun. you really didnt have to think for yourself lol Senior Cheif Kollar (i barely remember if it was a C or a K) of ship 9..was the shit!!!!! :)

  • April 18th !!!

  • I swear some of these people in the BT videos look the same

  • This facility is way different from the one I did basic in..but same premise. The moment the cameras go off it's different, trust me. All the services have videos like this. My actual experience was we got yelled at and PT'd a lot. And they don't try to make you feel like part of a team at first. Military way (in all branches) is to "break you down then build you back up."

So in the beginning you're not even a human being. Later on you earn that respect. Good luck to all considering joining !

  • Fucking tattoo hated that damn red light

  • haha Graduated right before this video got put up, exactly as i remember it

  • boot camp is so much harder than this. i was just there in 2010

  • @n8weiss28 i just graduated Sep 9th 2011
