  • traditional banaras aochar

  • Kiya baath hai....excellent. There is an Ustad Tafu Khan flavour in the rendition. Is this the same 'pinky' that played as a child with Ustad Hussain Baksh on the youtube video 'has ke bola karo'?

  • Sikhs look nothing like Taliban or any muslims to that effect. At first glance for a nanosecond, maybe, but there is a distinct difference. I find it difficult to comprehend why nobody notices? I do not have this problem and I'm a non-Sikh. Maybe it's ignorance. Brill music.

  • I thought the Taliban had banned music. I didnt know they were musicians themselves. How hypocritical!

  • @jakemullick hahahahaha u aint got clue then..these are Sikh who ruled afganistan once and also fought for england in world war one and two.

  • @fojihq Forgvie me, but aren't they the same people who banned women from going out of their homes; they whipped children if they went to school in Afghanistan and they also forced men to grow long beards and wear head-rag?

  • @jakemullick Those are Muslims (i.e., Taliban is Muslim). How can you be so ignorant as to confuse Sikhs with Muslims. You are forgiven for your lack of awareness.

  • @Dzongka But aren't these guys the same as the Taliban? Their turbans, long beards, dirty outfit and all...

  • @jakemullick Considering their beliefs aren't remotely related to the Taliban (i.e., the Sikhs believe in equality of the sexes, non-absolutism, the importance of education, etc, etc.), NO! The Taliban is an extremist Muslim organization located in Northwestern Pakistan and Afghanistan and believes in nothing which the Sikhs believe in. Sikhism is a Dharmic religion, while Islam is Abrahamic. I sense you're trolling, or are you really that stupid? What else can I expect from a fellow Yank? Lol.

  • @Dzongka Dude, you must be out of your mind. I have met some Pakistani who wear the same outfit & long beards like these people. Their ancestors, as they said, came from India, but they separated themselves from India, because Indians massacred them in huge numbers. The only reason they wear turbans and beards is to separate themselves from Indians so their children don't get mixed up. Maybe these guys are Modified & Open-minded Sikh/Taliban. I have nothing against these Taliban play their music

  • @jakemullick Haha. Lolwut? Did you seriously just say "Sikh/Taliban"? Let me clarify this for you, though I'm not Sikh myself. Almost all Sikhs, as per their faith, grow out their hair and wrap them in turbans. This outward appearance at first appears to suggest a similarity to the Taliban, but that's just superficial. Besides, the Taliban is a new phenomenon, while Sikhism has been around for centuries - so no similarity. TALIBAN = bad. SIKHS = good in general. How can I make it clearer? Troll.

  • @Dzongka Dude, they all originate from the same region. They must have had influence upon one another. If Sikh was before the Taliban, then the Taliban might have copied their dress code and disheveled beard growth from the Sikhs. We cannot negate the proximal influences they may have had on each other. I am not saying Sikhs and Taliban are the same, but it doesn't rule out the possibility that some Sikhs are Taliban ad some Taliban are Sikh. At least a Sikh can easily go for a Taliban, right?

  • @jakemullick The proximity you states is actually false. The Taliban are native to the tribal regions of Northwestern Pakistan and Afghanistan, which is far far away, (in both geographical and cultural terms) from the region which Sikhs inhabit (Punjab region of India). Moreover, the similarities between the two, are, as I've said, completely superficial; so there's been no influencing as you say. In addition, a Sikh CANNOT be a Talib, considering Islam is...

  • @Dzongka Okay, I see your point. I take your word for it that Taliban are not Sikhs or whatever. Are you a Sikh yourself? Do you play music and grow long hair and wear a turban? What's all about this superficial outer appearance you mentioned?

  • @jakemullick As I mentioned before, I'm not Sikh. Why, are you? I'm just another human being who likes watching YouTube videos and enlightening people. My religion - I would say it's probably Jainism. So that would make me an atheist, though I still have a religion. And no, I don't grow long hair, nor do I wear a turban. But I am Indian. I dislike it when people associate Indian culture with Middle Eastern culture - Indians are not Taliban members - most Indians aren't even Muslim.

  • @jakemullick u go on a lot of fukin videos cussing us like to see u do it someones faceu little pussy

  • @Dzongka ...About the superficial thing. You seem to be too concentrated on the look of a person in order to accurarately identify what group they belong to. So what I'm saying is, just because some Sikhs may look like Taliban members, doesn't mean they're in anyway involved with them. Can you identify an atheist just by looking at them? How about a Christian? It's these sort of incorrect assumptions that fuel hatred and misunderstanding. I'm sure Sikhs dislike that you compare them to Talibs.

  • @Dzongka well, your pretty much way smarter than that dude lol. I'm american, not indian or paki and not muslim or sikh or hindu. But I love indian subcontinental classical music, everything from Pakistani Qawwali to Sikh music. but to be ignorant enough to compare any of them to the Taliban is ridicules lol

  • @jakemullick ...a different religion from Sikhism altogether. Just like an Imam of Islam can't be a member of Westboro Baptist Church, a Sikh can't be a Talib. Period. There are too many conflicting philosophies. In addition, the ethos of Islam is completely different from Sikhism. Let go the superficial similarities; apart from that, there are no more similar than an apple is to a durian. Lol.
