  • я знаю что финские свиньи комментируют здесь fuck lol finnish army

  • @6587az hahaha you fucking useless ruskie... cheap bitch

  • I don't know, it feels strange that RUSSIANS would freeze to death...

  • the Greatest respect to Finns... you managed to stop that rats horde. Unbelievable... unfortunately, we, Balts had to fight against them for 50 years...

  • My great grandfather was one of the Swedish volenteers :)

  • if the britts were planning to take the swedish ore mines.. does that mean that they were trying to move the war north? that scandinavia would be in centerstage?

  • Wikipedia has two good overviews:

    Sweden and the Winter War

Foreign support in the Winter War

From that last, "The Swedish Army, which had been downsizing its armed forces since the 1920s, transferred approximately 1/3 of its equipment to Finland among them 135 000 rifles and 330 guns and large quantities of ammunition."

If Sweden "didn't do much" it's because they didn't HAVE much.

  • The Russians are so dumb and incompetent it almost is unbelievable.

The Finns on the other hand are moral, brave and patriotic.

Individual Russians have made great contributions to Mankind, but as a nation they have made fools of themselves.

  • Proud to be finnish.

  • i rly hate russia idk why...

  • So ironic. I was listening to "Heritance of Berija" by Kalmah. While I read a random article, unintentionally might I add, about Simo Häyhä. Both completely related, but mistakenly stumbled upon by random internet browsing.

For those who don't know, Kalmah is a death metal band who often writes music about the Finnish revolt against the Red army.

And Somo Häyhä was a well known Finnish sniper. He is easily the best sharpshooter in the entire world. Even after his death. He racked up 700kills

  • WEll when finland ask to get the island's what they get in WW2 it starts the WW3

  • Voisitko tupakki kertoa, onkos tästä jotain kakkos osaa olemassa, kun siinä ilmeisesti kerrotaan Jatkosodan "kostosta"?

  • My father is from the areas the CCCP concuered, those lands are the lands he would like to see live because he lived there as a child. Now he is suffering of minor dementia and just dreams of his home... I would like to take he to see his homeland before hi dies...

  • @Unholybutthole Teeppä se. Vaikkakin ryssät on sen alueen täysin pilannu, niin voin kuvitella kuinka kaunista seutua se on ollut. Kävin siellä itse pari kesää sitten.

  • Fuck the Soviet Union!!!!

  • @A74893 Allways :))

  • "Finnish soldiers war motivated by fierce and determenet patriotism." Truly men war ready and willing to fight and die for the fatherland! Honor to the veterans who saved us from the russian bastards!!!

  • United Kingdom declared Finland on 6 December 1941 also the war !

  • Finland has been given back Porkkala?

  • @gulsvartvasteras Of course already in the 1950's wait..

Wait a second check Winter War seen by others...The video is same but commentator not

  • @gulsvartvasteras Yes only Porkkala. Other areas are still occupied by Russia.

  • @tupakki Ok, Will they get back on the other islands?

  • @gulsvartvasteras That's a very good question. Not untill Finnish politician really start to ask them back. Now they have been like little schoolgirls. Finland really need to start demand those areas back.

  • @tupakki okay, I agree!

  • @tupakki Is that still the case that you do not like Russia?, given what it did in the Winter Wa

  • @gulsvartvasteras I can really only speak for myself here. What Soviet Union did for Finland, wasn't fair, actually it was crime for several reasons. If you want that I go to details, just ask. Russia has admit many of these crimes against Finland but its not doing anything to fix them. Putin himself said that WInter War was a mistake. If Russia would respect rights for Finnish people, there wouldn't be a problem. Now quite many Finns hate what Russia represent, not Russians itself.

  • @tupakki Ok,can you go in to the details?,please

  • @gulsvartvasteras There's not really a reason for us to hate Russia since it was the Soviet Union and not Russia that attacked Finland.

  • @whirlooo Ok.

  • russian in russian even boiled in butter. An thats a fact...

  • @tupakki I doubt anybody want those areas back anymore, since not having developed together with Finland, they would nowadays be just a burden.

  • @gulsvartvasteras Truth is that, most finns dont want those lost areas back. They are filled with unemployed drunks and much of the infrastructure is still close to level we left it almost 70 years ago. If it were possible to get them back empty, without people, maybe... otherwise it would be financial disaster to Finland and lead to quick collapse of our social system. People who talk about getting lost areas back are stuck in the past and unable of rational thinking.

  • ok my family comes from finland im the first generation in my family born in sweden acctualy and I think sweden and norway could have done way more. Finland had been a part of Sweden for so long and fought many wars at Sweden´s side and yet sweden refuse to assist I think that is kind of low but I still think that Finland should be grateful for the assistance sweden and norway gave.

  • @MrFredrikhuhtanen I agree, norway did fight but pretty much gave up immediately. Sweden also caved in immediately by allowing the germans to use our railroads for transportation. As far as helping the Finnish ppl, sure we did help but not on a scale that would make difference. We sent some rounds to their cannons that didnt fit, we sent food and made them warm clothes. However those things were all by vollunteers. Sweden as a country stood as neutral and was not to aid Finland. PS im swedish.

  • It is a shame that Sweden did not act when her neighbor was in trouble. Scandinavia was and still is well-suited for close cooperation.

It's important to realize that the Swedish government was a socialist one, as was the Soviets. Finland on the other hand had just defeated their socialist revolutionaries and were pursuing liberal policies (a good choice).

My grandmother came to Sweden during the war.

  • HAHA näytimme VENÄJÄ Emmekö!

  • What a beatiful peace of english documantation about the winterwar .

  • Proud to have Finland for a neighbour.

  • and we sented tons of gold in sweden cause we wanted guns, ammunition and food.well stupid us.we get some but not all what was in deal.that gold founted not so many years ago in some bank in stockholm.sorry my english.so all swedes dont say fuck FINLAND say thank you FINLAND.we deserve it

  • for all swedes:all your so called warhistory we were your meat shield against russia.you come here and try remind us those few thousand volunteers and how you take our kids to safe in sweden.that is your dudy after using us to do your dirty work for so many centuries.you should be more thankfull that we kept your ass safe so long.and when the next and last war comes,we gonna do again because lets face it.sweden is nice but doesnot know how to win war.no offence.

  • @rakkipallo Läs lite historia grabben.

  • @rakkipallo One word - bullshit. The Swedish government, apart from the 12,000 volunteers, sent Hawker- and Gloster planes, as well as guns and ammunition. Stop being pissed for no reason and go back to school.

  • Piippalakit perkele, ette tuu meidän metsiin hörloilee!

  • @MrS5099 What a kid we have here again. Go on and grow up.

  • @MrS5099 they tried to fuck em with a million men, they couldnt : )

  • My god I want to know whats the back ground song called!

  • Bu savasta, Coook ORTA-ASYA Turkleri de sehit dustu!

  • Finland fought there hearts but fought against too big of a force. Hail to all the Finnish fighers of the Russo-Finnish war and the Continuation war! At least Finaldn didn't become annexed or under the sattliete control of the Soviet Union because of those Finnish Soliders.

  • Finland is the ONLY country to completely pay the US back their war debt - :)

  • @dedhed66franklin Well Finland is only country who have paided all war debt. Even to Soviet Union.

What i think they deserve only bullets.

Patriotism is not dead in Finland. And now we are way more better equitment.

    But so is Russia.

  • you can't gudge a country by the past they had

  • @jimcoolfilms Maybe, but you can be sure that finnish people are still furious to russians. We lost 11 % of our lands to fucking russians!! They don't even need those places, those lands are worth of nothing, except to us finns...

  • Germany or Napoleon isn't the worst enemy Russia ever have had.

The only nation that successfully has conquered Moscow - the natural capital of Russia - is Sweden.

    We know how Russia thinks.

    They don't think at all.

  • @scholion And Sweden used Finnish soldiers and territory in all the wars vs. Russia :)

  • @MrGamernumber1 What swedish troops? What are you talking about? Those 9.000 volunteers?

  • @scholion

That's correct but the soldiers happened to be Finnish.

  • Suomi Rulez!

  • Patriotismi on vieläkin kohdallaan. Mutta erätaidot on kärsinyt näinä IT aikoina.

  • Our Finnish brothers... OWNED A SUPERPOWER!!!!!!!

  • @Daividh555 You do know that the Soviet Union wasn't a Superpower until only after the defeat of Nazi Germany....

  • @Daividh555 fuck yeah!!!

  • I am from Thailand and I am proud of my Finnish ancestry.

  • WAR

    Good For Few

    Bad For Most

  • Hmm, this video has the same visual material and script as "Winter War seen by others", just with a different speaker. I wonder which is the original?

Also, most of the comments here are so juvenile, that I can only facepalm.

  • Finland FTW!!! Fuck Russia!!!

  • @serg123123

lol u fail. starve to death asshole.

  • @serg123123 you are gay dadfucker that doesnt understand that u never make it up to finland,so fuck you trolling dumbass

  • @serg123123 You know that those fucking ruskievodkabitches got owned in most of these fights at this finland vs russia war... vitun venäläine perseen-nuolija... -.-

  • Russian assholes!

  • One Finnish is enough with ten russians.

  • Perhaps the Soviet performance in Finland served as a catalyst for Operation Barbarossa, spreading the war onto two fronts for the Germans.....which was ultimately Hitler and the Nazis undoing. It's funny how things work out...

  • @yeoshow Not really, the Winter War was already over when Hitler invaded Poland. The Finns were forced to give the Karelia to Stalin by the Moscow Peace Treaty. Then they joined the Axis when Hitler attacked the USSR.

  • @deusirae76

Ummm, I was always under the impression that the Nazis invaded Poland in Sept 1939. You know, before the the Soviets invaded Finland?

  • @yeoshow True, sorry for my mistake. But it still didn't spread the German front until June 1941.

  • @yeoshow But you're right to a certain degree, the Soviets were not prepared for such a harsh conflict and Stalin decimated his own military staff 2 years before. It convinced Hitler to attack the Soviet Union, he thought it was like giving a big kick in a crumbling door, until the winter 1941 came ...

  • HAIL FINLAND

  • first winter war

    then World War 2 xD

  • I want that Discovery would make this kind of video about Continuation war!

  • The Fins defended their land and remained Free! The Finnish population can be damn proud of their nation! No one helped them and against all odds they still won.

  • so much hateful posts, i'm proud to be from Finland and I shed a tear for every soldier whom died for our country, I'm in debt for you forever.... R.I.P.

  • Finland Finland Finland In a game of football what goal would Finland try to score in ?

  • @blockthehood They would run around in circles not sure what side they are on. They are a cowardly people

  • Can someone please tell me what side finland was on in the war ?

  • @alandec1 We were on our own side... Our goal was to survive wars and stay independent, our goal was not to affect what happend between allies and axis ect shit

  • @TheQneb That's like having one leg and a foot in both camps What cowards you people must be

  • @blockthehood Yeah were in war against Russia and Germany and actually officially against Great Britain too. Makes us big cowards to make trought those days... in your superior logic. Luckily no one has to care what u think, when you see cowards you know they are one and i'd say finns dont look like one.. I think your country was more coward, every health man of country were not in war like our mens were.. What kind of coward would we home when its war? :/

  • @TheQneb I will not criticise your spelling as I'm sure it's better than my Finnish but to volunteer to join forces with the SS that's low I will never think well of Finland ever again as for staying at home that's a joke i will not waste my time talking to anyone from Finland ever again COWARDS

  • @blockthehood I dont see a good reason to have this atfight here so im going to quit this too. I dont really see wise to call people coward or any other thing because what happend in WW2. I dont hate germans for example, even the nazzis did what they did, it was fucking 1940 not today its not anyones fault today. I dont give a shit what you think about me, and second if you judge people to be coward because what happened 50 years before the man was born, that just makes u look like idiot.

  • @blockthehood you sound quite butthurt... i tell you there was no Schutzstaffel troops on finnish soil! you obviously do not know what an SS is... there were wehrmacht troops on lapland burned it down too,DO you even understand how offensive that feels for you calling my dead grandfather a coward(yes you referred to all fins who fought) Your language has a word for people like you:twat(or twit) you are just some butt hurt britt who hasn`t read any history and hates finns

  • @blockthehood you are just some fat 12 year old in great britain who`s knowledge of history is based on games! you must be bloody perfect when you can judge my people so harshly ,if not you should kill yourself, k?

  • @tomppa00 The Finnish SS where a sight to see I imagine, all the one legged a foot in both camps see which way the wind blows cowards Fact not a game

  • @blockthehood Your reply makes no sense you answered to me like a bot using the same argument as in the comment i replied to... could you explain what is this knowledge based on? as many have said finland was on finnish side as it should be today only a 12 year old views "sides" as something so black and white (ya know evil and good), germany didn`t have much more pop more than great britain in ww2 britain shouldn`t have had so much trouble defending? (i respect all veterans around the world)

  • @blockthehood answer me directly! did you even read my reply Schutzstaffel(SS) did not work on finland it was germany`s own "protection squadron"/praetorian guard

  • @tomppa00 What do you not understand about what I said ?

  • more dead russians, more better!

  • my fathers grandfather fighted as a swede in finnland, my mothers grandfather fighted in the wehrmacht, and myself i fight against the communists today!

  • Finnish army was much better when the Russian army.

I come from Finland, a big father fought against the Russian-Finnish had no tanks or airplanes.

  • I am from the US and I am proud of my Finnish ancestry.

  • @CJ7with285andt18 I am just curious. So how many generations your family has been living in USA?? Can you remember the name of finnish place your family is from?

  • @tupakki My grandfather fought in the Winter war. My family had moved south to Karelia in the late 19the century. After the war, they immigrated to my Strangnas, Sweden.

  • @CJ7with285andt18

i am finnish and i am proud of my us friends

  • mave.foorumi.eu

  • @CJ7with285andt18 Be Proud and i you allways been our harts ..;)

  • Many men died because of this lack of true leadership. But perhaps it was better many died due to the failures of an idiotic regime getting their fingers severly burned than this farce to continue..

  • finnish soldier is best

  • LOVE YOU FINLAND!!!

  • What happened to Finland after the war was over?If you look at a map of the country today it has less territory than it did before the Winter War.

  • @IsFearrAnStair You mean after the Winter War or WW2? After the Winter War Finland lost Karelia, Salla-Kuusamo, Kalajastajasaarento in Petsamo, outer islands of gulf of Finland and renting Hanko near Helsinki to Soviet Union for 30 years. After the WW2 same as those but also whole Petsamo and istead of Hanko, renting Porkkala for 50 years. Also paying 300 million US gold dollars. Returning all finnish property which has been removing from those lost areas. Etc. Very hard peaces for Finland.

  • @tupakki Sorry after WW2 was what I meant. Is there any movement today in Finland or these lands for re-unification?

  • @IsFearrAnStair Yes there is. Finnish government isn't behind these actions, at least not for now. Let's see what the future brings.

  • suomalainen sotilas vastasi 10 ryssää

  • @mrmakemakkara Eikös yksi suomalainen tarkk-ampuja tappanut yli 700 ryssää?Eli yksi suomalainen=700 ryssää :)

  • Proud of the war? During the twentieth century we lost about 140 000 people because of what Russia and Germany did. We never wanted the civil war.

Lenin is the reason why all these problems started.

  • As a Swede, I´d like to apologize, on behalf of us true Swedes, to our Finnish brothers in the east.

We deserve no credit as a nation for the aid.

Only the brave few who did their damn duty and voluntarily helped Finland does.

Im ashamed that Sweden didn´t declare war on Soviet aswell, and sent everything we had to help the Fins :@

Long live Finland, I´d show up and kick some Russian ass if anything like this would ever happend again ;)

  • Detta är inget dataspel, vad vet du om Sveriges hjälp?

  • @1pty1ytp2pty Finns and swedes ani't brothas

  • juu

  • correcting... The Soviet Union was AFRAID of the Operation Barbarossa to start and they didn't want germans to think that they would be an easy match

  • How come they were afraid? They were going to attack against Germany at July as their military plans reveal. After the Winter War germans did think that Soviet Union is an easy match even they have over 2 times more soldiers. Hitler was faster but if Hitler would have used more time against England. Stalin would have attacked on Germany's back.

  • @reissumiesss

when the Germans attacked Russia Stalin locked himsself in his room for 3 days.

For those 3 days there was no movement in the russian army.

  • The guy in the video says: In Fighting Finland the soviet Union lost more than 200,000 to the Finns 25,00. Actually it's very hard to know the russians exact casualties because Soviet Union rewrite the winter war history quickly after the war, beacause they were of the operation Barbarossa. But our schools history books says it was more like 400,000.. Give it a take.

  • sweden helped finland beacuse sweden hate sovjet!

  • Well sweden really did not help finland much. There was approximately 400 000 Finns and 8 000 swedes.

    Only volunteers came help us.

  • @xiankool789

And thats good. We should be thankful for our Swedish brother instead calling them "gays" that they are not. Long live for Swedes =)

  • sweden didnt help us very much..

  • @xiankool789

LOL if swedish commies had not helped Lenin. But all these problems were caused by a JEW name Alexander Parvus.

  • The Britiswh and France didn't aid Finland. The Fins had no choice but to go to Germany for arms to use against the Russian invaders. And the Finns bled the Russians almost dry. If Russia hadn't been 150% more numerous, the Finns would have kicked their asses. As it was, they pounded the USSR mercilessly.

  • @pepperdineu1 Actually russia had 400% more men the Finland not 150%.

  • Finland had clever tactics;P they where more smarter then the russians.

  • Finland FTW!

  • Finland's soldiers saved the Free World during those 105 days, in many different ways. They saved Sweden, too.

It is very important to understand that

the Swedish people were outraged that their naive and cowardly Government would not commit troops to help Finland. ......IF a vote been taken, the Swedish people would have voted overwhelmingly to go to war against the USSR.

  • This video is pure Soviet propaganda. The Finnish Amry was in tact and the Soviet after having been made fools of signed the peace agreement.

  • Suomi ei voittanut sotaa mutta Suomen sotilaat puolusti Suomen maata rohkeasti ja urheudella. Ei Suomen sotilaat ollut mitään paskahousuja. Esim. Raatteentiellä tapahtuneesta Motti taktiikasta, runsaat sotasaaliit nam nam.

  • Fucking russians.Without good finnish soldiers, the finland would be a small part of russia.

    Finland is BEST!

  • Fuck Russian goverment*

  • @herocape123 Finland is surely great. But what they dont mention is the Swedish voluenteers.without them Finland would have fall.Long live both Sweden and Finland.Destroyers of the USSR.

  • @WELOVETOFTING Most of swedish volunteers (from total 8000) didnt even manage to get into the fight before the war ended. if soviets would just have kept going they could have defeated finland whether there were swedish forces or not, just with higher casualties.

  • Finnish soldiers was better than russian soldiers. Finland won!

  • Ei me voitettu mutta menestyttiin hyvin.

  • Saatiin itsenäisyys

  • im not that familiar with the finnish part of ww2. on which part did they stand? according to the sovjet invasion they couldnt stand on the allied part, but im not sure they stayd quite under the axis forces either..? someone tell me the finnish role during ww2

  • Russia attacked Finland. After the winter war Finland allied with Germany, just for help with the russians. Finland didnt fight against any other country but the aggressor, russia.

  • @jayti83

May i correct kaahaajaFIN little bit. During Continuation war (1941-1944) Finland was in war against Soviets and UK (UK and Finland didnt fight against each other and UK was just "helping" Soviets). And after Continuation War we joined allies and started fighting against Germans. That war was called The war of Lapland (1944-1945?) and Finns succesfully pushed their ex-allies, Germans behind their borders. Soon after that allies reached Berlin and WW2 ended.

  • Finland didnt joined allies.

  • @Suomisamuli

Yes we did. In 1945 (Lapland war) we fought against Germans on Russians side; so we were part of the allies. Read our history kid.

  • Finland did wanted to join allies but they didn't have no chance to do so. At the Winter War Finland stopped the war before Soviet Union would have been in war against allied. After the situation was impossible because of Germany. I didn't put details. Ask if you need.

  • @tupakki

    lol

before Winter war Finland had an agreement with Germany to let nazi forces march and attack SU from their territotry, and for this Finland will get soviet part of Karelia.

But their plan failed, and Stalin made right decision to take control positions in Baltics and move borders away from Lelingrad. In 1941 Hanko peninsula had major role, it made available evacuation from Tallinn and made nazi charge on Karelian front much slower

  • @Scoutrussp7 "before Winter war Finland had an agreement with Germany to let nazi forces march and attack SU from their territotry," What agreement that would have been? Have you ever heard Molotov-Ribbentrop pact? It was agreement between Soviet Union and Germany. It has been the start of WW2. In that pact SU got free hands against Finland, Baltic states and Romania (Bessarabia). What you are telling are not true and not even making much sense. Just let you know.

  • No before the Winter War Nazi Germany had an agreement with the Soviet Union to let the Red Army march through DEMOCRATIC Finnish territory. Ever hear of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact? Didn't go down too well for the Soviets. Finnish soldiers were first class - second to none - but it is ridiculous to think that Finland had the desire or resources to invade and annex part of SU. The Finns lost Karelia and other land but continued and continues to survive. The Soviet Union doesn't. Get over it.

  • the finns were very brave people...and against the russians 0=

  • Comment removed

  • Finland put up a good fight. So good that Roosevelt and Churchill insisted in Teheran (1943) that Finland must remain independent. What came to other Axis nations, they couldn't really care less.

  • because of those damn russians i'm living here in Sweden, mutta mie olen suomessa aina välilä :D

  • Sweden gave food, clothes and building material, but not much any kind of weapons.

  • is true what tranmere789 says. Finland was not anlone. Sweden was unofficially on Finlands sides and were aiding the finns with over 8000 soldiers and weponds such amuniton, rifles, tanks, bomb planes, all kinds of war material. as a result of theis the sovjets bombed several Swedish citis to make us back of.

    "Finlands business is our business"

  • Carrycossy, you're right about the Swedish voluntaries that fought for Finland, and we're very thankful of that! Sweden had to stay officially neutral, it would've been suicide to do otherwise. Finland on the other hand had no choice but to get material from Germany to stand a chance.

  • Not true about 1000-2000 valounteers from sweden not 8000, yeah sweden send material like wrong ammunition etc :)

  • bullshit.....over 8000, nearly 8500

  • just trolling 8000 but not over

  • I think we know that better than Swedish gays. Your country would be next if Finland would lose.

  • Nice video. Is there a similar one depicting what happened in the continuation war that's hinted about at the end of the clip?

  • The countries that helped and gave material to Finland were: 1st - Sweden. 2nd : Italy. So it's a myth that Finland was left "alone". And i would underestimate the battle ability of Red Army. They fought very hard and not so bad that have later claimed - finns took only little bit more than 5000 POW's. In summer 1941 finns took more than 40 000 POW's. And finns too made some terrible misstakes during Winter War.

Westeners would have fought worse in these conditions than soviet soldiers.

  • But is it amazing thing that Winter War could have been the most bloodiest war during ww2 before Operation Barbarossa begun? I just check the death numbers of Battle of France and it seems like as much or even more soldiers were killed in Winter War (russian new study with 134 000 death soviet soldiers + little bit over 25 000 finns soldiers killed). But it could be possible that Soviet losses were even bigger but hardly 200 000 death. That number is false.
