  • why would they say Negro? smh

  • Martin Luther King's celebration day is well deserved...a very honorable man...His vocabulary is highly intelligent...he is cool in his answer and doesn't show hostile behavior...wish we had more men like Martin today....someone to look up to...but whoa....if he was here today...what would he say!!

  • ...... " DAMN MY BROTHER MY MAN DR. KING WOW " AND BOY OH BOY JUST DOING THE DAMN THING " MEN WERE SMARTER BACK IN THOSE DAYS " I KNOW JUST NOW THAT " RAY " DIDN'T ACT ALONG NOW THE GOVERNMENT WANTED HIM DEAD HE WAS TO BIG ". ) - ;

  • Folks, don't waste energy arguing over Malcolm vs. Martin. Both were willing to die for what they believed was best for humanity adn neither sold out their principles for moeny as these characters do today. End of story.

  • "A riot is the language of the unheard". What an insight. Even more interesting when looking at recent events around the world.

  • i am a cracker and i think he was a poet

  • I am in awe and in tears. I am moved by his presence, clarity, consistency, and his command of respect. His postion is simply truth & justice. What a man!

  • I love how he defends himself simply by defending justice. With that in mind he somehow is able to answer every question and still be agreeable!

  • check out the new MLK song "FULL JUSTICE" now on Youtube!!

  • What a brilliant man.

  • Without diminishing MLK Jr.'s genius and integrity, I have to say that we do have some here today such as Martin Luther King was, but today's corporate media would NEVER let them speak without constant interruptions and yelling in such a way that the American audience will never understand their brilliance and integrity but rather see such brilliant minds as dolts or fools.

  • I've never been alive when he was but I have deep respect for this man's legacy.

  • IN ADDITION TO BEING ONE OF THE GREATEST HUMAN BEINGS OF THE 20TH CENTURY(OR ANY CENTURY) HE WAS AN UNBELIEVABLY UNBOUNDING AND ETERENAL SPRING OF REASONABLENESS.

THE SPEECHES, THE COURAGE, THE DECENCY FOR HUMANS ALL OVER THE WORLD.

OH, WE'VE LOST SO MUCH WHEN WE LOST HIM.

    I LOVED HIM SO MUCH.

  • Did they have color TV back then or is this just color enhanced?

  • Dr. King was good, but while King and other Civil Rights leaders were fight for Civil Rights Malcolm X was wat ahead by pushing for HUMAN RIGHTS and therefore was ahead of his time.

  • @truthhitmanisback Malcolm was no MLK. Malcolm believed in violence -- killing the white devil, etc. MLK stood for peace, nonviolence, and reconciliation.

  • @mt22201 MLK taught people to get beat up. How peaceful was that ? He should have been responsible like Malcolm X and made his people AWARE of their constitutional rights of self-defence, which is righteousness.

  • may his soul rise up today amen

  • The articulation and Holy Spirit filled insight is astounding. He never got flustered when asked certain questions, and always brought the real, deeper problem to the fore. I think He represents Jesus well.

  • dear god bring us back martin luther king in return will give u barack obama !!!

  • @AndrewsOpinion15 unfair trade.

  • He really knew how to stand his ground and hold his own, while remaining calm and articulate. A gentleman, leader, and hero.

    On a personal note, this was my Grandfather's 50th b-day :)

  • When you really listen to him you realise that almost every sentence he speaks is prophetic and can be re-qouted for ages to come but most of all he is leaning on his faith in the Most High. Thats a Prophet! Give him a book in the bible!

  • He is a visionary...someone who creates a new, not simply focus on the existing appearance of parameters. Therefore, allusion is not possible but rather a greater level, and multilevel of understanding of society, context, and humanity, and the interplay within and between all variables.

  • The President isn't remotely in the same league as Dr. King--who was truly a man of vision, substance, and conviction.

  • Y'know what I love about Dr. King? His use of allusion!!!

  • @ChiknThighTatorPie He is a visionary...someone who creates a new, not simply focus on the existing appearance of parameters. Therefore, allusion is not possible but rather a greater level, and multilevel of understanding of society, context, and humanity, and the interplay within and between all variables.

  • he was killed b/c he was greatly FEARED. Name one president in American history who was nearly as intelligent and articulate as King...the powers of his time couldn't handle the Dr. and their lack of mental competence, hatred, and frustration led to violence against him. God doesn't like ugly though, and He pays evil folk off His own way; whether they get caught by the law or not.

  • and Obama got the same prize, I feel SICK, what a fraud he is, he should have given it BACK

  • Like x 100000000000!!! Your wisdom shines through like a piercing ray of light in absolute darkness, Dr. MLK.

  • Genius! Pure genius! No disrespect toward Mike Douglas and the other gentlemen, but King is clearly ten fold above them in intelligence, rational thinking, and delivery and hearing skills. Yet he is willing and patient to relate on their level. Very few people can do that with such ease.

  • @eruditesickle0216 You said it. Thanks for making the observation.

  • @eruditesickle0216 5 Dr. Kings for ur comment!!!

  • Excellent posts. Thank You.

  • Someone who actually earned his Peace Prize, instead of some asshole that continues to bomb the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • What an intellect.

    What courage.

    What truth.

The America of today is, sadly, way past the point of ever again allowing a man this noble the platform he so briefly had at this point in time.

  • Im a young man, with rage at times, but his words soove my soul.

  • @DCsWiseMan word up!

  • @DCsWiseMan i'm not so young and still sometimes rage

  • M.L. King, Jr.

  • A man who definitely earned the Noble Peace Prize

  • Ooh! What a man! This is the type of a man the world needs as a leader. The man that will not call a spade other name in other to satisfy the guilty minds. May his gentle soul rest in peace for ever. Amen!!!

  • I wonder if bigbrain Mike even understood the answer to his Shawn Hannity style question "are you a communist?" It reflects his misunderstanding of communism and amplifies the fact that from the very beginning of this interview, he has not absorbed the impact of anything Dr. King has said.

  • Incredible integrity and character...with an uncompromising loyalty to truth and justice - MLK is the epitome of a true leader.

  • I am in love with MLK, he is a true example of a real man, God fearing. He said he was doing it "to save the soul of America". Not one man but an entire nation, amazing!

  • This was a great man. His impact on me has made me a better person. These interviews also reveal his gentle and polite ways. Gentleness and politeness have nothing to do with weakness. This was a brave man. Thank you for posting.

  • rare!

  • he disagreed with his brothers without throwing them under the bus. true general.

  • is there a way of getting this full episode

  • That's how you answer that question. Shove it up your arse Mcarthy.

  • What a great and strong person he was. Incredibly articulate.
