My friend is a huge Ron Paul supporter. I told him I would vote for Ron if he ran with Jesse Ventura as VP. I had to withdraw that statement when Ron Paul said he would have voted against the Civil Rights Act. He's naive if he thinks states like Mississippi were going to repeal their state & local Jim Crow laws without federal intervention. The Civil War ended in 1865, the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964. The free market had 99 years to end Jim Crow and failed.
